Lt. Ellie Park- Did someone say Adventure?

Ellie had initially been skeptical about this ball, but between the shopping fun with Lystra and seeing others in fun attire she was enjoying herself quite a bit. She looked around the crowd of her crew mates until she saw someone who made her grin. Someone she hadn’t seen in some time.
Her approach was important. She carefully made her way through the crowd so she was out of sight and could sneak up on her target. When she was behind him at the table she leaned down near his ear.
Park: Whatcha got there?
Yirah: ::cough:: Ell- ::cough:: -ie! ::cough::
Ellie giggled and stepped back to give him space. She raised her hands in mock surrender.
Park: alright, alright I’m sorry.
She wasn’t.
But she would be if he did actually choke. The Trill’s glare said it all.
Park: Care if I join you or do you hate me too much now?
Ellie tried to lock eyes with Indrid, doing her best puppy dog eyes, but he apparently knew better as he closed his eyes before her could crack. It was a stand off that she was determined to win though, so she stayed as she was until she watched the smile form as he opened his eyes. Stars it was so nice seeing him again.
Yirah: ::jokingly:: Taking notes from Diz'mim, hmm? Tormenting Indrid 101?
He gestured to the table for her to sit down and she promptly did before he could change his mind. She looked over inquisitively as she hadn’t spent much time with their XO to know him that well.
Park: No? Wait- is that a thing? How to a join this class?!
Her voice was thick with sarcasm but she really was interested in hearing what it was all about.
Yirah: The Commander and I had an adventure on the station.
Park: An adventure…
Ellie eyed Indrid suspiciously when he didn’t elaborate further.
Yirah: And to answer your question from earlier... ::gesturing to his plate:: It's a daedra flavored cake with raspberry jam.
Right! Food! Ellie leaned towards the plate- far closer than she would in most any other circumstance- and sniffed to exam it.
Park: Hmm. And what’s the conclusion- worth me getting some?
Yirah: Response
Ellie laughed.
Park: I mean I could be barbaric and stick my finger on it to get a taste.
Yirah: Response
Ellie pretended to be offended.
Park: Excuse you, sir, but I do have some standards!
She chuckled lightheartedly. She didn’t realize how much she had missed their bantering. It certainly would not have been the same if they were both still children. Although now she wondered what it would have been like. She had spent most of the time on the bridge embarrassing herself.
Yirah: Response?
Park: So are you going to share about your adventures with our XO or am I going to have to make up some adventures in my head?
Yirah: Response
