(( USS Constitution-B – Engineering ))

He tried to be focused on getting the job done, primarily on the tractor beam problem since others were working on the sensor problems. He haven't received anything from the science department, but with any luck, they're working with Motha and S'Rrrrell. He continued investigating the interference from the Nebulae to the tractor beam when a voice called his attention.

Rajel: How are things going down here?

He looked up at the familiar voice of the Commodore, surprised as he thought she'll be on the bridge overseeing all the away team progress. And talking about overseeing, he looked at the cybernetic eye and it looked to be working well and give the captain a new look.

Shimisi: Capt.... Jalana, what are you doing here? Any problem I can help you with?

Rajel: No, nothing wrong that we didn't already know. I just sent out the away teams and figured I come by to see if you have any ideas on what we can do about these scanners.

Shimisi: Well, since we had different problems, I asked Motha and S'Rrrrell to decks seven and thirty-three to analyze the problem and work with science. How are the away teams going?

Rajel: They are going in blind. From what I could see from the shuttle hangar hatch there is some electro storms or heavy discharges going on in the atmosphere, but I couldn't see if it is only in the sky or on the planet too.

Shimisi: Meanwhile I'm working on a similar problem with our tractor beams. I've discovered they destabilize shortly after being activated. We can use them for a moment, but can't rely on it for continuous use. Since the beam is able to hold for a few moments, I felt that if I can sort out its problem, it should help with the scanners too.

Rajel: Anything we can do from the bridge to help out?

Shimisi: I guess not much. Maybe Ops will have a hand in coordinating the info and power usage from both, science and engineering teams working on that. It should improve our efficiency.

Rajel: Response

Shimisi: I can't promise nothing right now, this environment seems to be more random than other nebulas we've been through. Even using probes will give marginal improvement to our readings.

Rajel: Response

Shimisi: When we reconstructed the lower computer core on deck 37, we managed to make the different parts working coordinated and as backups to each other. We can get the information we get through it so it can be processed and reprocessed by the different segments of it looking for either errors or recurrent patterns that we might be missing.

Rajel: Response

Shimisi: I hope so. :: He rested his back on the console looking at the captain who seemed to be good with the way things were progressing on their side. :: How are you doing, by the way?

Rajel: Response

Shimisi: Any problem with it? Any loose of focus or disruption on the interface?

Rajel: Response
