PNPC Sarek - Sarek bestest at defining parameters!

The little one seemed sad so Sarek pressed his nose against the transparent aluminum an opened and closed his mouth a few times playing whistling. Rowlk eventually cheered up and asked him a great question.
Rol’Q: Oh, I have an idea! ::Rol’Q raised his hand, like he was in class:: You’re pretty smart, Mr. Sarek. Do you think you could talk to the captain for me. I would love to be part of the crew! My teacher says I am very smart too.
The dolphin twirled a little at the idea. For one, he’d get to see and talk to pod mother again!! And second, the pod would get bigger. Though, Rowlk was already on the Cawnee, didn’t that make them part of the pod already? That was a question Sarek would have to ask pod mother!
Sarek: Ooooo, Sarek like that! Pod Mother is the bestest! ::He swam in a tight circle excitedly then pressed his nose to the tank:: Did you know that Pod Mother already knows Sarek!!!
From further within the tank and Cetacean Ops, a faint voice translated by the computer murmured.
Bengali: Oh not again….
Sarek either didn’t hear his bestest friend’s comment or was took excited to comment and was focused on Rowlk.
Rol’Q: I did not know that! But I guess it isn’t surprising. I don’t know her yet. She’s probably real busy. But if you talk to her, maybe I can be a part of the ship!
Sarek: Sarek confused though. Rowlk is already on Cawnee. But Rowlk’s not part of pod yet? ::The dolphin’s maw opened and closed slowly while he worked it out:: Oooh, so Rowlk is guest like Zindee were but Rowlk stays longer?
Rol’Q: I… don’t know. When we went to my aunt’s wedding, we stayed in guest rooms. I don’t think I’m guest. But I’m not crew.
Sarek: ::He chittered:: Sarek can ask if Rowlk can join pod! Everyone in pod does something for the pod. What can Rowlk do?!!
Rol’Q: Thank you! I can do tricks with my dog. His name is Ug’yel. It’s Vulcan for sun because his fur is shiny and gold. I’m learning how to paint from my uncle. Oooh! And I can play piano. Kinda. And now I put dishes back in the replicator. ::Smiling proudly:: Without being asked.
It was about then that Sarek saw and heard a familiar furry face.
Dara: Meow!
Sarek: Dara!!! ::He exclaimed loudly::
Rol’Q: Hello kitty-kat! It’s nice to meet you.
The little one greeted Sarek’s bestest friend Dara, the only other animal on board he’d met that wasn’t inside the Cetacean tanks. Dara sniffed at the hand. The dolphin swam in circles in his excitement at seeing the feline again.
Dara: :: satisfied :: Meow. (Tuna)*
Sarek: Ooo, Sarek wants some too!!
Rol’Q: You’re such a cute cat. Did you come to visit Sarek too?
Dara: :: curling her tail around her paws :: Meow. (*Tuna)
As the universal translator worked to let Sarek understand the feline’s speech as it had before, he floated up to the edge of the tank and stared out.
Sarek: Ok! Sarek can get some!
Rol’Q: I didn’t know there were so many animals on board. This is so cool! I should sneak away from field trips more.
The feline nudged the little one, which Sarek had learned was her way of asking for attention. With his newly learned knowledge, he wondered if cats were natural boopers!!
Sarek: Boop!!! ::he announced::
Rol’Q: Hi kitty ::He reached out to pick up the cat:: Are you part of the crew too? Or are you like me?
Rawlk picked up Dara, which he’d recalled his friend Tann had done when he first met Dara. So it must be how feline’s get around on the ship quickly. Using the crew as a means of transport. That made him wonder if the crew were like those turbolift things he’d heard about, to Dara.
Sarek: That is Dara. Dara is…::he paused in thought:: like Sarek and Rawlk. She lives on the ship. But she lives with one of the crew. Seavah!!! Sarek’s bestest friend.
Rol'Q: Response
Dara started making a loud rumbling sound while being held, which sounded to Sarek like when the seafloor trembles from sea quakes. Sarek learned new things all the time! He now knew that cats, or at last Dara could make catquakes when they were content. They must not be very strong quakes though because Sarek didn’t feel the ship move any more than it usually did.
Sarek: Dara wants tuna!

The dolphin nodded and chittered excitedly.
Sarek: Yes! Sarek understands Dara. Can Rawlk not speak cat?
He stared curiously at the little one holding Dara with his mouth open in puzzlement.

The dolphin nodded excitedly and swam in a loop before he leveled off again. Right, Rawlk had asked if he could ask pod mother to make him part of the crew.
Sarek: Sarek wishes Sarek could call Pod Mother. :: A series of excited clicks, pops and whistles erupted from him:: Sarek can call Pod Mother!!!
Sarek remembered he could use the Cawnee’s voice to talk to others in the pod who weren’t here. Like the good vet sh’Prelleon that looked after him and the other dolphins.
Sarek: Computer! Call pod mother!
The ship’s voice responded quickly but seemed confused.
Computer: Please define parameters, podmother is not a known entity on board of the Constitution.
His maw opened slightly before Sarek began to explain to the computer precisely who the pod mother was.
Sarek: Ooooh, pod mother is the bestest! She’s the one in charge of the Cawnee! Podmother has gray hair that’s brighter than most hair and she has the bestest smile and pod mother knows Sarek……
((timeskip several minutes))
Computer: Extrapolation based on recent mission and personnel logs, cross referenced with explanation from entity called Sarek. Pod mother is Commodore Jalana Rajel. Do you wish to save Jalana Rajel as Pod Mother entity in the computer?
Sarek: Yes! ::he exclaimed::
Computer: Parameters saved. Would you still like to call, Pod Mother entity?
Sarek: Yes! Call Pod Mother!
There was a series of chirps the computer made, which always made him think that the computer must be part dolphin. Which made sense because dolphins were super smart! He looked at Rawlk and Dara with a smile. ((Ooc: Assuming they’re still there having listened to his lengthy story to the computer about who Pod Mother is.))
