(( USS Constitution - Bridge ))

T'Seva: =/\= Constitution to Commander Foster. Do you read? =/\=

S'jenes: =/\= Ensign S'jenes to Const---ion-B. Iaon---ew intac---. Indige---ecies confirmed. Hostile ---ment de-escala--- =/\=

Blaine heard Jalana’s snort and bit his lip to keep from chuckling, but his green eyes flashed as he tried to keep the Texas under control for the time being. He was ecstatic that the hostilities were deescalating.

Foster: Response

It was good to hear his voice on the other end, even with a few interferences. To answer S'Jenes, she spoke a bit more slowly than usual, hoping it would mean that more got through the line.

Rajel: =/\= Bridge here S'Jenes, confirmed. I will leave it to T'Seva and Cade. =/\=

S'jenes: =/\= Response =/\=

T'Seva: =/\= I heard S'jenes...we have more company down there? =/\-

Foster: Response

The bridge remained quiet as they talked, and right as they finished.

Rajel: Blaine, I send a data package to your station, could you send it to our Kameryan friends please?

McCray: Of course. ::he said with a nod.::

Blaine watched as the data package hit his console and he placed it in the transmission stream to the Kameryan ship, hoping they would read it quickly. He was relaxing more and more from the stress but he was keeping his attention up as he listened and observed.

Rajel: Thank you. How far are we?

McCray: The data package has been sent. ::he looked back to Jalana and nodded.::

Blaine kept track of the transmission, mentally crossing his fingers as he waited for any sign that it had been read.

Rajel: Alright we are close.

T'Seva turned her attention to her console. Ten, nine...

T'Seva: three, two, one...hull reverse magnetization in place. Hull temperature returning to normal, but that will take some time.

McCray: Why do I feel like a long-tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs? ::he muttered, shaking his head.::

Jalana: Response

T'Seva: I am seeing no significant chrondite on the hull.

Hearing that, Blaine let out a long, relaxing breath as he heard that, more stress leaving his body.

McCray: More good news.

Jalana: Response

T'Seva: But we'll have to keep up the reverse magnetization and the beam until we're out of the area. And record this protocol for future ships.

McCray: That shouldn’t overstress the ship, should it?

Jalana: Response

T'Seva: Science deserves ribbons for this one, just saying.

Blaine agreed with that more than he realized, and a saying his human grandfather always said came bubbling from his mouth.

McCray: They really earned their pay with that notion.

Jalana: Response

Blaine watched Jalana and T’Seva out of the corners of his eyes, listening for any updates or orders as he was still getting to know his new CO and department head.

Rajel / T’Seva Response:

Blaine watched the helm as he tried to process what had happened and what would happen. It looked as if diplomacy would win the day, but he tried to be prepared in case the Kameryans didn’t read that data package

Rajel / T’Seva Response:

He let out another breath, trying to remain vigilant. He remembered being nervous the first time he had ridden a horse or ventured into the Vulcan deserts and realized that experience built confidence and that he was with a good crew. Worry left him with that knowledge.

Rajel / T’Seva Response
