(( Docking Ring SB 104 / Constitution ))
The Constitution had reached Starbase 104 sometime during the
nightshift, when Oz had slept the sleep of the overworked. As
things were with medical he had not been able to go right away,
but once most of the re-aged were back to mostly normal he finally
had a chance to get off duty and enjoy some time off. While
talking about visiting the station to Lonnie, who alas still had
duty shift, Shedet had overheard them and offered to go with Oz
instead. He didn't need to be told twice. Even shore leave on
bustling station was more fun if not spent alone. So now he waited
for the Orion.
Shedet: Response
As he heard her he looked up and grinned raising a hand.
Malyz: Ready for a chance of scenery?
Shedet: Response
He nodded and moved past the security detail at the docking
corridor. It was less for people who left the ship, more for those
who tried get on. After passing they followed the tross of people
outside, a steady flow of getting from the docking ring to the HUB
and the promenade. The Station was everyone's oyster with hundreds
of decks to explore. And they had not been here for quite a while.
Oz was looking forward to seeing if there was anything new.
Shedet: Response
Just when he was about to answer, the pair moved around the corner
into the Promenade and he stopped in his tracks staring at the
vibrant green eyes of their Commanding Officer.
Malyz: What in the...
Shedet: Response
He gestured at the projection in front of them, clearly a
holographic 'billboard' of their Commodore. The firey red hair,
the green eyes, the spots around her face and down her legs, which
were visible since she wore the Commodore variant of her skants.
The one thing that was off about her was that she still had two
eyes. The hologram carried one of Jalana's signature bright smiles
as her eyes honed in on the pair. The hologram flickered ever so
slightly, blink and you miss it, before it spoke.
Holo Jalana: Welcome to Starbase 104 Ozameen, Shedet. Are you
recovering well after your last mission?
Malyz: What...
It was slightly unnerving for him that the hologram knew who he
was, though his intellectual side knew that was because this thing
was connected to the Starfleet Database and facial recognition was
a thing. But it also was weird because usually he could sense
Jalana and this one he couldn't. Obviously.
Shedet: Response
Holo Jalana: Can I interest you in a refreshing glass of Bajoran
Apple Juice. Its drinking temperature is ideal for that burst of
energy and the vibrant colour wakens memories of warm summer days
in the Dahkur Province.
Malyz: Oh, uhm I'm good I think.
Shedet: Response
Holo Jalana: Then maybe a warm soothing cup of Jestral tea. The
Brew Continuum on the second level of the Promenade Decks offers a
wide variety of hot beverages and baked goods for your culinary
pleasures.
Malyz: They got a Brew Continuum here now?
Shedet: Response
