Indrid was on a mission. Get a raktajino from the Brew Continuum. One of the really fancy ones with the caramels, spices, and had foam art on the top that was probably half his recommended daily calories.

oO Wonder how they manage to get the temperature right every time? Whenever raktajino comes from the replicator it's always just slightly too hot. I wonder how the first raktajino seeds got into the Federation? Did President Archer ever drink it? "President Archer, I know we Klingons are dealing with the virus we made but why not try some of--" Oo

Richards: Indrid?! ::Waving like a maniac:: Indrid Yirah?!

Yirah: Y- Yes? 

He was startled out of his thoughts. His mind worked quickly, trying to place who the voice belonged to. They sounded familiar but he couldn't place it. It didn't sound like someone from the Science Department. 

He turned around to face whoever it was.

The human waved at him wildly as though he might not see her. 

Richards: ::Pointing to herself:: Samantha Richards! It’s so good to see you. I just transferred here. ::pointing between the babies:: With my kids.

oO Sam! Oo 

His gaze followed as she gestured at the kids.

oO And mini-Sams! Oo

The family resemblance was apparent. The two had their mother's red hair. Presented with the children, mind skipped over the 'it's good to see you too' and straight to--

Yirah: You didn't have kids last time we saw each other.

oO Right? It would have come up. Surely it would have. Parents love talking about their kids. She would have had opportunity too, while we got our tattoos. Oo

Sam was still grinning ear to ear.

Richards: ::Chuckling lightly:: Yeah… These two happened not long after you and I met.

oO Sam is here! On the Conny! That's crazy! Oo

Yirah: Wow, it's so good to see you too! I can't believe it!

Richards: response

Indrid approached offering her a hug before he turned to look at the babies.

oO They seem about the same age... Oo 

Yirah: Are they twin- ::he facepalmed:: Oh of course they're twins. 

oO 'Cause she's a human. Oo

Richards: response

Yirah: Trills give first birth at only twelve weeks. Then the fetus is placed in one of the parents' pouches. It's not uncommon for Trill to have multiple children in a single year. For example my own older brother and sister are only four months apart in age.

Richards: response

Indrid's joined minds flipped back from the topic of the mini-Sams to Sam herself. 

Yirah: Hang on-- :: he looked up from the babies to her:: You transferred here? As in, you now live on the Conny?
