(( USS Aleek-Om - Security Complex ))
Before she could reply the doors opened again and this time a
familiar face entered, a fellow Security Officer.
D'Sena: Ensign Porter. I was unaware of your presence on the Aleek
Om.
It was no judgement, no say if it was good or bad, simply a
statement.
Porter: Really? Well when I was called over I wasn’t told if
tactical or security, so I ended up helping in tactical for a bit
but thought I should come here now that we’ve arrived and see how
I can be of use?
D'Sena: Understood. the Ensign is working on power fluctuations,
though I believe it is nothing too worry about.
Porter: Power fluctuations? What are they impacting? Tactical
wanted sensor sweeps just in case.
Motha: This specific conduit run is only affecting data streams
from our sensors. We are not blind but we are having a few dropped
pings that should be sorted out.
D'Sena: Aye. I have kept an eye on long range sensor on request by
Commander T'Seva. However nothing has come our way yet. And it
appears that the Icarus is still without power.
Porter: Oh good. ::pause:: About the sensor. Not about the Icarus.
I assume they will want to restore power to make things easier.
Motha: That would be procedure, especially if we plan to tow. We
would want to make sure to have power for the structural integrity
field for long term tractor beam attachment.
D'Sena: Agreed, we cannot afford for the Aleek-Om to break down
halfway.
Porter: So do they need us to go over there to help or anything?
Akeelah turned her attention to Sarai, her voice as her face stoic
as ever.
D'Sena: Not at the moment. The Armory however is prepared in case
there should arise a reason for us to step in.
Porter: Right. I can help however you need me.
Motha: Unless the Commander disagrees, I would like help over
here. I have to adjust multiple packs and it would be easier if
someone would monitor the d-band fluctuations as I reseat the
gelpacks.
D'Sena: Please go ahead. If we can be of assistance it will
benefit the whole ship.
Park: response
Motha: You do not need to be an engineer. Just watch the tricorder
until the d-band drops between 1 and 3.
Park: response
While Moatha and Park were working on that her own time was split
between peeking over their shoulders- through the leaves growing
from Motha's person-, and checking the tactical scanners for any
unusual sightings. The rustle of leaves was a sign of Motha
moving, as engineers did.
Motha: One of the gelpacks may have issues. Standby.
D'Sena: Issues?
Park: response
More rustling, a bright flash of light and then the room was
plunged into darkness. It didn't take long befoer the emergency
light kicked in, even if the intensity of light was lower, it was
enough to see.
Motha: That is unfortunate. Overcharged pack. Static discharge
knocked out the circuit. Nothing dangerous. Do we have a
replicator in here to replicate a three-way energy circuit? I need
to replace it. It would be part 3519-B in the recipe catalog.
D'Sena: We do. Park, keep assisting him I will retrieve the
circuit.
Park: response
With a few long strides she found her way to the replicator, glad
that it was an universal one and not just for food. Browsing
through the menus she found the engineering one. She found the
3519-B in the catalog and opened the submenu until she landed on
the three-way energy circuit and pressed the replication button.
Motha/Park: Response
As she picked the circuit up she turned to head back to the two
holding out the circuit.
D'Sena: Has the gelpack burst? Will it need replacement?
Motha/Park: Response
D'Sena: Are any other sectors on the ship affected by this or is
it localized to this suite?
Motha/Park: Response
