Felbri: =/\= I appreciate it, Commander. ::he paused:: Are there any less obvious threats that I should be watching out for? =/\=

As a Commander she would have a lot of experience to draw upon.

D'Sena: =/\= Natural phenomena and anomalies would be less obvious than what we anticipate. With the Icarus using subspace to travel, we could also run into problems with possible tears and rifts in space. I suggest to have a Science Officer to keep their eyes on these kind of readings. =/\=

Felbri: =/\= I'll keep that in mind. =/\=

D'Sena: =/\= Good. I still have tactical scanners running in the suite and will inform you if something suspicious shows up. D'Sena out. =/\=

As the comm line closed he turned to Kvash at the science station.

Felbri: Anything to report?

Kvash: Not yet. Everything is quiet...too quiet.

Ren turned to look at her.

Kvash: So quiet that I expect something to happen any time now.

He saw her hands moving over the controls of the science station.

Felbri: Such as?

Kvash: Oh, I don't know. Romulans, pirates, space serpents, space serpent pirates allied with Romulans.

Felbri: Ha!

Kvash: But if nothing happens, we can always collect data.

Felbri: What sort of data? Anything interesting out here besides the Icarus?

Kvash: For example, that blue-white star over there is in a bit of a bad mood.

Ren turned to the viewscreen at the star Kvash was referring to.

Felbri: What have you found out about it? Anything we need to be concerned about?

Kvash: Even from this distance, those are gnarly flares. I hope they miss any inhabited planets.

Felbri: So do I.

Kvash: At least the Icarus looks stable.

Felbri: How often are you checking it?

Kvash: I'm checking periodically. He has been sitting there for a while, after all.

Felbri: Commander D'Sena warned to check for signs of tears in space. Have you noticed anything like that in your readings?

Kvash: response

Felbri: I would expect a tear in space to be more obvious.

Kvash: response

Felbri: If something like that does happen how long would we have to transport everyone back on board?

Kvash: response
