Speaking of the engineer, Diz's suit's comm clicked on as a message came through.
S’jenes: =/= All away teams, this is S’jenes, We have made contact with one of the apparitions. The entity identified herself as Lieutenant Junior Grade Barb Byrnes, communications officer of the Icarus. Based upon the information obtained during the exchange, we currently assess that the apparitions are phase-shifted survivors rather than residual energy phenomena. We established communication using the tricorders as a localized damping field and electromagnetic carrier waves to temporarily synchronize phases which has allowed for 32 seconds of direct communication. We are investigating ways of extending said communication and have identified a repeating pattern within the phase variance which may be key to further communication. If your teams have any relevant findings or suggestions, please advise. S’Jenes out. =/=

Making their way through the jefferies tube towards the last deck, DIz'mim was glad that there appeared to be some sort of answer to what was going on. His brain was finally dismissing the ideas of ghosts and that there was a good reason why the ship was the way it was.
The final deck was not as big as the others and as both he and Park walked, he sighed with relief hoping that this would be done soon.
Ch'Nilmani: At least we just have this deck left. Ready to do something else besides look down dark hallways.

As they approached the door to the bridge, the Andorian noted it was open, which made sense. No power, it would have to have been forced manually. It was the talking that caught Diz'mim off guard and made him slow down.
Yirah: Procurator, we can not be arrested on suspicion alone. What investigation has led you to hypothesize that this ship carries a metaweapon?

That bad feeling returning to the First Officer's gut. Everything in him screamed that there was danger. For the first time glad for the shadows, Diz waves to Park to turn her flashlight off and so did he. The Andorian peeked very carefully to see what could only be a Sheliak.

This got a whole lot more interesting.
Yirah: This ship was launched in the Federation year of 2267. The Treaty of Algeron was signed in the Federation year of 2311. That makes this ship older than the Treaty of Alergon by 44 standard Federation years. The Federation has not had access nor contact with this ship in 130 years. Therefore, this ship has not been able to be assessed by the Federation for any violations of the Treaty of Algeron until this day.
