So'Mior: Are the readings stay stable?
SydT: The numbers are changing, it's now .02%.
So'Mior: A clear and steady increase. This could indicate the Chrondite particles are losing energy and restabilizing or it could indicate that the gamma radiation comes from an outside source and is fading in limited containment. Thoughts, Ensign?
SydT: I think the radiation is coming from an outside source. ::She looked at So'Mior.::
So’Mior: I would expect the Chrondite to reassemble into larger masses when restabilizing, yet the particles remain unmagnetized. Curious.
SydT: It's fascinating.
She began to get lost in the beautiful sight before her. She could imagine the music that would accompany the swirling, glittery movements.
So’Mior: It is possible, if the Chrondite is stable and atomized that instead of magnetizing to itself it would attract to other sources.
So'Mior's words shocked SydT out of her daydream
SydT: Do we know if there would be any detrimental effects?
So’Mior: There is no known detrimental effects of Chrondite because we have never encountered it in this form before. Federation records only have data on large masses of Chrondite such as asteroids or planetoid cores. We are witnessing a new form of a known element.
It would be like seeing frozen water for the first time, except this was metal in the form of a horrifically fine dust.
Shimisi: How's it going?
SydT: Well, I think.
So'Mior: Response
Shimisi: Motha and S'Rrrrell informed me that something is covering the sensors, maybe even part of the hull. Does any of your analysis show if it has any magnetic properties?
SydT: Yes, at least so far.
So'Mior: Response
Shimisi: If there's a way we can repel those, it might improve our chances. Maybe we can use, either the shields or deflector to move them away and clear our path.
So'Mior: Response
SydT: It might be possible. ::She hadn't thought of that.::
Shimisi/So'Mior: Response
Ba'el/Motha/S'Rrrrell: Response
SydT: How much time do we have?
