In a way, Diz'mim was glad he had found the little entry in the
Federation Tourism database. When Starfleet informed him that he
had to spend his leave whether he liked to or not, the Andorian
had spent a few days searching to find something small and out of
nowhere. Outpost Echo was in the middle of nowhere in the Tempest
Sector but when he spotted the planet of eternal winter, it
intrigued him.
Being Andorian, the cold was actually comforting. He had always
been of the opinion that Starfleet kept their ships to warm but at
least he kept his room where he liked it. A nice, cool 40F (4.4C).
This place ho
wever was amazing. There was nothing like that
strong, arctic wind coming off of the Tragis Mountain range where
he had spent a week hiking. He had only returned yesterday and
decided to spend the last bit of time he had checking out the
buildings and seeing who was there.
At the moment, he wore a black sweater to go with the his black
pants free of logo or design. Diz'mim just liked to meld into the
crowd and people watch when the tourists came and went. A fire
crackled in the corner and he kept his eye on the mahogany wood
table against the far wall where the giant transparent aluminum
window overlooked the frigid landscape of Arentis.
It was towards the evening going by the orange and red cast upon
the distant mountains and at first, he thought the brilliant red
that caught his eyes was a reflection. What he did not expect was
the fiery red hair of a Trill woman
who was sitting with what
looked like a mug of something steaming. She was quite pretty.
With a smile, he ordered a hot rum, headed over to her and stood
there with a smile on his face.
Ch'Nilmani: This seat taken?
Rajel: response
Ch'Nilmani: Excellent.
He sat down beside her, his antenna twitching in amusement.
Diz'mim took a sip of the human alcohol that he had grown fond of.
Ch'Nilmani: I'm Diz'mim. You?
Rajel: response
Ch'Nilmani: Oh, a beautiful name for a very beautiful woman. Been
on Arentis long?
