The starfield drifted slowly across the room as S’jenes worked, one hand resting near the console while he adjusted a sensor overlay. The quiet didn’t last long.
His combadge chirped.
Ch'Nilmani: =/\= Ch'Nilmani to Crew. This is a yellow alert recall. All selected crew on this transmission are activated and need to arrive at Docking Port 22-B Section 3. Once you have boarded, find your departments, prepare it and report your status. More details will be provided once everyone is on board. We'll be undocking ASAP. =/\=
S’jenes tapped his badge.

He didn’t linger. A few quick inputs saved and archived his work, and the projection dimmed out around him. With that done, he turned and headed for the corridor.

The station was already picking up pace… crew moving with purpose toward the same destination.
S’jenes kept moving and boarded the Nova-class vessel without stopping.

The new space was compact, efficient… clearly designed for rapid deployment rather than comfort. S’jenes stepped in and immediately moved to the main console.
He brought the system online along with the adjacent science labs.
The display flickered into place… slightly misaligned, expected for a cold start.
S’jenes: Let’s see what we’ve got.
He began working.
S’jenes: Linking long-range sensors… syncing astrometric database…
His hands moved steadily across the controls as the starfield shifted and began to stabilize. He ran a calibration sweep, correcting drift and adjusting parallax readings in sequence.
S’jenes: Adjusting… there.
The projection snapped into clarity, clean and consistent.
He leaned back slightly, studying the result for a moment before giving a small nod.
S’jenes: That’ll do.
He tapped his combadge.
S’jenes: =/\= Ensign S’jenes. Stellar Cartography is online aboard the USS Aleek-Om. Sensors are calibrated and aligned. Ready for tasking. =/\=
