Charlotte had just come face to face with Senior Commander Nugra. From what she had been able to tell, he wasn’t too sure what to think of the Betazoid so far.
Brexis: ::Holding out the PADD:: I met a particularly annoying man. Thomas Prendar. He wanted me to give this to you.
Nugra: Ah. Yes. I was expecting this. I was actually going to see him myself but you saved me that headache. I believe Terrans use the term annoying.
Charlotte shook her head as she thought back to her encounter with Prendar.
Brexis: Yes. Very annoying man. I heard you got to wrestle him once? Did hurting him feel good? I bet it felt good.
Nugra: Wrestle? No.
He motioned towards his desk where an empty chair sat.
Nugra: I slammed him up against the bulkhead and provided some words of advice about how he should conduct himself while aboard Commodore Rajel’s vessel.
Brexis: I wish I could have seen it. ::smiling happily at the Gorn:: If he shows himself around here again I’ll be sure to send him your way.
As he sat down he motioned to the empty chair. Charlotte wasted no time sitting down, tucking her leg under her as she sat.
Nugra: So, Lieutenant. I make the assumption you are a new assignment to the Constitution’s intel division.
Brexis: Yes Sir. I am. ::quickly adding:: And I’m really happy to be here.
Nugra: As our computers are in standby due to the upgrade that will begin soon, I have not had a chance to peruse your file. Tell me about yourself. What ship are you coming from? Your goals aboard this vessel.
She rested her hands in her lap and sat quietly for a moment before looking back up to him.
Brexis: May I be transparent with you Commander?
Nugra: Response
With a long sigh, Charlotte held her hands up in a small bit of defeat.
Brexis: I never thought I would even make it this far. ::Keeping her face neutral:: I had always imagined myself getting into Intelligence and after a handful of roadblocks I didn’t think I was going to see it. ::smiling to herself:: But here I am.
Nugra: Response
Brexis: My time on the Artemis was short. Before that I was basically interloping at the Academy while I went through some hefty counseling because of Frontier Day. ::Keeping her tone flat:: My first posting was lost during the attack on Frontier Day.
She swallowed hard and kept going, though pivoting the conversation back towards talking about herself.
Brexis: People tend to think I am a bit unconventional. A little too loud. A little too chaotic. ::Shrugging:: But I work hard. I am loyal to the job and I hope to someday see myself rising the ranks here in Intel.
