(( Verdant Galaxy Gardens - Starbase 104 ))

Plants were nice, flowers were pretty. Seeing those in these gardens Georgio had wondered if it was a good idea to pluck some flowers to add colour to his salon. But they had quickly determined that caring of a plan would be the problem. Georgio knew how to cut hair, coordinate colours, bring out the beauty in everyone, but living flowers woudl depend on him and that could be an issue. So Mark had suggested a holographic plant. That didn't sound too bad actually. But when he mentioned to give him his holographic dog... that was a whole different story. A dog didn't fit into his whole style.

Mark Two: Dogs are fashionable!  ::he protested:: I mean Grandpa Cade says that dogs as companions make all the young ladies or men you might want to date think that you’re extra desirable.   But he never really explained why…

Georgio: Oh honey you don't need a dog for that. Everyone loves you because you're fabulous. ::He grinned widely, really believing it::

Mark Two: You really think so?

Georgio: Of course, everyone has this fabulousness in them, they just need to find it. That's why I'm here. ::He spread his arms out in a 'tadaaa here I am' fashion::

Mark Two: Ok, yeah ::he nodded:: But plants… you know?

Georgio: Ah yes, plants. ::She raised his index finger:: I want to have a plant! Holographic sounds brilliant!

Mark Two: You could even pick one that blooms flowers.  Like any color of flower you want!  We can look through the database and find the perfect one!

He bounced excited and clapped his hands. He'd have a plant he could take care of, just like Mark had Olaf, but instead of it walking around and barking and all, it would look pretty in his salon and bring in even more color! Then he suddenly stopped bouncing and looked at Mark in confusion.

Georgio: Uhm, where do I get one?

Mark Two: I mean I’m sure my grandad can put in an order for one – we have holo-programmers on the ship.  I can bring it to the salon!

Georgio: ::Smiling brightly:: That would be fabulous honey!

Mark Two: but you still have the most difficult decision ahead of you… ::his blue eyes sparkled:: Which plant?

Georgio: Oh. Ooooh Choices. Something pretty and beautiful and amazing. What could that be? What choices do I have?

So pretty much the Georgio of plants! But the EHS had no clue about plants. He knew a few because they were inspirations in fashion or colour names but that was his limit. Mark apparently knew that, he got up and reached out a hand.

Mark Two: Come with me!  I’ll show you!

With a fluid motion the sparkly hologram stood up, he did not actually need Mark's hand for this but he still took it and let his friend help him. It was just a really nice feeling. Together they practically dance walked to the next computer panel and Georgio could watch his friend work on it. Georgio had actually never accessed a panel - he did the whole direct access with his mind thing but wouldn't know how to look for flowers and plants - so that was fascinating. He watched the list show up on the screen, though didn't see the details yet. The list changed too fast anyway. After a moment it looked like Mark had found what he wanted.

Mark Two: Check it out!  Look at all the flowers!  I selected only ones that you can care for on a Starship – so you can pick any one you like!

Georgio's eyes grew wide as he saw the list, it was long, very long. But so many fabulous choices made by Mark. He stepped to the panel and believed he had seen how Mark scrolled through it and tried it as well. HA! Yes, that worked. Good.

Georgio: Look at our clever Mark. This is a fabulous variety of plants. ::He kept scrolling:: But quite a lot. ::And scrolled:: So many.

Mark Two: Wow, there’s like almost five hundred to choose from…

Georgio: That just means more fabulousness to choose from. ::He looked at the list and tapped the edge of the console with his finger.:: Can you make it show pictures instead of text?

He could read, but seeing the plants was better in this case. After all he would be choosing by aesthetics. The names didn't tell him anything.

Mark Two: ?

Georgio: ::grinning:: So clever. ::He repeated. Mark needed to know that he was smart.:: How do I remove items from the list?

Mark Two: ?

Georgio watched carefully and nodded before he looked through the pictures and with a swipe removed some of them that on first sight did not excite him. There were some beautiful plants and flowers among them, others were too plain for his taste.

Georgio: Look at these magnificent colours, how am I supposed to choose just one?

Mark Two: ?

Georgio: Look at this one it is such a lovely shade of blue, and this one is hot pink, or this one this red is magnificent. Even this black, like a beautiful void.

Mark Two: ?

The EHS looked at the picture that Mark pointed at and blinked. He tiled his head and tapped on the picture to enlarge the file behind it.

Georgio: It is... holo. It's glorious, shiny, colorful... fabulous!

Mark Two: ?

Georgio: No, not like hologram well based on it in some old times, don't ask me why. But I know it as a fabric. It is silver but depending on the light shines in different colours of the rainbow. I didn't know there are plants like this.

Mark Two: ?

Georgio: Says it's from a planet called Mundahla. Do you know it?

Mark Two: ?

"Maybe it was a gas leak in the shed."
Her parents' mumbling voices went past Alana, it was all too much for her. Never had she seen a fire like that, and the
pile of ashes in the garden showed how lucky they were that nobody had been inside when it went off. But something felt
wrong with what her brother said. Not the words themselves in the first moment, but seeing their gazes, the looks her
parents shot over to her every now and then. They were full of shock and something else that the little ten year old girl
had never seen before.

Fear.
