Ch'Nilmani: Ah. Peekaboo. Anyway we can get safely to Peekaboo?

Rajel: I suggest shuttles and EVA suits since we don't know what kind of atmosphere we have down there. What do you say, T'Seva?

T’Seva: T'Aven would know better than me, but I would....

Ba'el saw T'Seva pause for a moment, as if reconsidering her words before continuing.

T'Seva: I recommend we make use of the Iaonaiae. Her sensors are better than even the type-9 shuttlecraft, she carries more people, and she is equipped for long duration work. We could even leave a team here while the Constitution finishes the milk run and then comes back. What do you think, T'Aven?

Ch'Nilmani: :: To bridge :: Anyone else have anything they want to input?

Rajel: Alright, then I'll get away teams compiled. We will need to shuttles or runabouts, and EVA suits... six for the teams and some spares in case something damages them. Can I put you on organizing that? ::She looked to Diz'mim::

 Rajel: Alright thoughts on who should be going down. Science, Security, Medical.. anyone else?

Anyone: Respond

Ba'el was quiet as the others spoke. She wanted to join the away mission but unsure if Jalana would grant her request.

Rajel: Yes, Engineering is a good thought. We don't know what awaits us and if the Shuttle, EVA suits or equipment gets damaged we need someone there to repair them.

Anyone: Response

Ba'el looks on as Jalana returns to her seat and begins looking through the ships duty roster to select those who would be going on the away mission.

Rajel: =/\= Rajel to the following officers, Yirah, Lystra, Perax, Foster, S'Jenes, Eze, Mec. We have discovered a surprise planet in the nebula and are going to send two away teams down. We do not know what will await us prepare accordingly. You'll go down by shuttle and will need EVA suits that are being prepared. Cade, I want one medical officer per team, send Maramox and either you or Ellie for the other team. I'll meet you in shuttle bay in half an hour for a brief and tasks. =/\=

The counselor was disappointed at not being selected. Jalana stood up and addressed the rest of the bridge crew. Her window to speak up was closing quickly.

Rajel: The rest of us will have to stay here and try to raise the chances of our away teams seeing something down there. I know it'll be difficult but we are not without options. ::Looking to tactical:: If you send that probe let me know if you find out anything, even small things could help.

Ba'el: Jalana, I request permission to join the away team mission

Jalana: Respond

The Counselor stood up and looked at Jalana.

Ba'el: I understand Jalana, nonetheless I feel that I would be a useful addition to the away mission.

Jalana: Respond

Ba'el: As I mentioned before, an unknown colony was discovered on just such a world. It is a possibility that another unknown colony could exist here as well.

Jalana: Respond

Ba'el: I understand that other officers are also capable of making contact with anyone they may encounter down there, but, with respect, I would be a better choice for that role. This is what Counselors are available for after all.  

Jalana: Respond

Ba'el: And, if things do get difficult, I'm capable of assisting where needed.

Having said her piece, Ba'el held her breath and awaited Jalana's decision.
