(( USS Aleek-Om - Security Complex ))
She heard the leaves rustling when he got back to work and briefly
looked down before eying the panel again. She figured she'd see a
change in the output when he was able to fix it.
Motha: You are an excellent button pusher, Commander. :: to Porter
:: How's the lights now, Ensign?
Akeelah raised her brows. Button pusher?
D'Sena: Thank you.. ::whispering:: I guess.
Porter: They’ve reverted back to the previous setting now.
Motha: Are we stable in the fluctuations?
D'Sena: I can confirm.
Motha: There we go. You should see the proper lights now, yes?
Porter: Yes! ::she was excited that she had apparently helped in
some way:: They are now how you said they should be.
D'Sena: Since I'm no engineer I have to assume, that this is a
good thing?
Rather than knowing.
Motha: That is correct. The system is now operational and within
expected parameters. We should have little issue now.
Porter: That’s fantastic news!
D'Sena: Good news, Ensign. I prefer to have power in security.
She stepped back to her console, which now that power was back
properly, had to boot up again and was already flashing and
getting ready. At the same time there was a chirp from Motha's
PADD. The Engineer seemed popular today. Maybe always, she didn't
spend enough time around any of them to know.
Motha: If you will excuse me, I have an order that i need to put
together. I thank you both for your assistance in this matter even
though you do not have much engineering training. It is always
great to see those who are excellent learners.
Porter: Happy to help!
Akeelah simply inclined her head, without taking her fully black
eyes from the console.
Porter: Well. I wasn’t expecting to be a temporary Engineer, but
at least I learned something new today.
D’Sena: There is never a day in life without some kind of lesson.
It is good to
Porter: Anything else I can help with? ::she chuckled:: perhaps a
replicator needs to be fixed?
D’Sena: When I used it the replicating process did last a
millisecond longer than usual.
The corner of her mouth twitched ever so slightly, even if the
tone was dry as usual.
Porter: Response
Her eyes were still on the console as she nodded.
D'Sena: Aye, it indeed was a- ::The console beeped, fully booted
now. If it was even possible her tone became more serious.:: It
looks like we have visitors.
Porter: Response
D'Sena: That... ::She furrowed her brows:: Do you remember who we
encountered at Hermes Station during the Frontier Day
celebrations, Ensign?
Porter: Response
D'Sena: Aye. It has similarities, though it is not the same.
Porter: Response
Akeelah nodded slightly and pressed her communicator.
D'Sena: =/\= D'Sena to Bridge. Tactical sensors picked up an
approaching ship while my console was in a reboot sequence. =/\=
Bridge: =/\= Response =/\=
D'Sena: =/\= According to the Sensor data it is similar to the
ships that attacked Hermes Station two years ago. =/\=

Her fingers brushed over the keys in practiced strokes and
frowned.
D'Sena: =/\= Please confirm. Ship has stopped Starboard of the
Icarus. ::He raised her brows.:: I'm registering transporters...
towards the Icarus. =/\=
