(( Cetacean Ops, Saloon Viewport, Deck 10, USS Constitution-B))
The dolphin excitedly swam in a loop in front of the window and pressed his snout against the tank on his side to look at her. Clearly he fondly remembered her pushing him around in the portable isolation tank a few days ago.
Lystra: Fly around the Conny?
She gave Sh’Prelleon a confused look, by the time she’d brought Ellie to the isolation area where everyone was being treated they practically kicked everyone who wasn’t affected out of it a minute later so she hadn’t seen Sarek being brought there.
Sh’Prelleon: Yes and yes if you want to, we can also do it in your tank. ::Then she went to explain::: When we brought Sarek to the Isolation ward for the re-aging we used a portable fishtank and Sarek said it feels like he was flying.
Sarek: Yes! Bestest friend promised to let Sarek see more of the Cawnee later! Sarek remembers!
Lystra: That’s going to be a sight to see. How long do you think it will take for you to reroute Sarek’s pathways? Will you have to do surgery on him?
She asked out of concern. She knew sometimes surgery for humanoids could be tricky, she could only imagine that for dolphins it would be similar enough.
Sh’Prelleon: Very good that you remember Sarek. ::She nodded to the dolphin, at least he did not forget new memories, which was important to note. She turned her antennae and gaze to Lystra.:: It won't need surgery, but it may take a week or two for the re-pathing and then a few days for his memories to be back.
Sarek’s mouth parted in that infectious smile of his as he slowly rotated in place until he was upside for a few moments.
Lystra: That’s good.
She smiled and watched as the Andorian veterinarian regarded her patient.
Sh'Prelleon: If you want to ... fly, I will come and get you tomorrow for your first treatment.
Clicks and pops and whistles burst from the speaker in rapid fashion from his excitement at the prospect. When Sarek righted himself to look at them both he bobbed his head up and down.
Sarek: Yes! Sarek want to fly again with bestest friend Shprelleon!
Lystra: I’ll be sure to let everyone know they might get to see something great tomorrow. ::she smiled::
Sh'Prelleon: Each session will take about half an hour. Is there anything I can prepare so you are not going to be bored during that?
Sarek rolled upside down in thought for a moment before completing the roll and staring at her.
Sarek: Tuna! Or a floaty ball! But mostly Tuna!
Lystra: Sarek’s been getting a lot of sympathy tuna from everyone around here.
Sh'Prelleon: Response
Sarek: But Sarek likes tuna! Tuna is the bestest! Sarek has only had ten tuna! This hour!
She couldn’t help but giggle slightly and shook her head. She understood how easy it was to overindulge. She got her hands on a box of Mizorian chocolates one time and her mother had to lock it up to keep her from gorging herself on it when she was four.
Lystra: That seems like a bit much? ::she leaned towards Sh’Prelleon:: Right?
Sh'Prelleon: Response
Sarek pressed his snout against the tank pouting slightly but still eager. She didn’t think she’d ever see him sad for long. It made her wonder if all the dolphins they had were like that or if Sarek just had super bubbliness as an innate power.
Sarek: Sarek can still have some tuna? Sarek promise not to have too much if bestest friend says he shouldn’t. Shprelleon takes care of Sarek.
Lystra chuckled and finished the last few bites of her meal while the two conversed. She was pretty sure Kincaid wouldn’t mind restricting how much tuna his patrons are given if the doc required Sarek be on a diet.
Sh'Prelleon: Response
