(( Cetacean Ops, Deck 9 , USS Constitution-B. Rigar Nebula ))
Sarek floated in the cordoned off holointerface along with his fellow cetaceans, stunned for a moment. That last shake had caused Sarek to collide with the transparent aluminum wall of the tank and not the holographic wall. He could feel the throbbing pain in his right flipper where it had absorbed the weight of his body during the collision. Bengali and the others had thankfully just bumped into one another. But he was sure bestest friend ShPrelleon would still want to look at them later. During emergencies like this he was pretty sure she was notified immediately if any of the aquatic life in the tanks registered injuries by the compewter.
Sarek: Ow…meanies shooting at Cawnee not nice. Is Kalek okay?
Kalek: I am well enough. Can you all continue?
The dolphins conversed for a moment but eventually all four bobbed their heads up and down and resumed their side by side formation.
Sarek: Yes, we will be okay! Cawnee and Pod Mother always keep us safe. So, we help keep Cawnee and podmates safe too!
The currents of the holographic interface in the take resumed as it essentially played back the last few minutes before and during the attack. The quartet felt the movements of the water in their tank and amidst the clicks and pops Sarek addressed Kalek.
Sarek: Sarek feels ripples in between currents from planet and nebula. Behind us somewhere.
Sarek booped the console and rapidly conversed with the computer in clicks, pops and whistles that weren’t translated. As he did, the image on the shared console that displayed the sensor readings of the immediate area were overlaid with what the dolphins were feeling in the water. It wasn’t precise, yet, as the overlay covered a full 15 degree area behind the ship which was a lot of space to cover. But it was a start.
Kalek: Expeditious work, as always. ::he said to the four of them:: The nebula interference is causing our shields and weapon targeting to fail. However, it appears that our adversary has also ceased their attack.
Sarek knew a little about how the Cawnee functioned because he was of course the smartest dolphin. So, he knew that not having shields was bad. He focused on the changes in the currents they felt and tried to narrow down the area behind them the meanies were.
Sarek: =/\= Phin Ops** to PodMother! Sarek means, to Cawnee bridge. Meanies that shoot at us are behind us. Somewhere between angle of Cawnee’s fins*. Can you make more waves we can feel? Like SONAR ping? Many currents, but we try to help Cawnee see better! =/\=
Sarek hoped that podmother was on the bridge and that their information being sent to the bridge would help whomever was flying the ship to maneuver a little better. Sarek could tell by the way the water in their interface was moving that the Cawnee was heavy. She wasn’t moving the way she usually did. Smooth and fast. Like she was moving in kelp thick water that was holding her in place.
Rajel/Bridge: (Optional) Response
(ooc: The bridge scene already has a lot of tags, so the tags above are optional in case you just want to use Sarek’s comms but not respond yet.)
(Kalek and Bengali are generic NPCs)
