((OOC: Forgot to include the brief update for the ground team, it's in there now :) ))
((Bridge - Fenix Ignus - Rigar Nebula))
Ta'an closed the line and looked to the Captain.
Ta'an: They made contact as well to the teams of the ... ::They
looked at the name of the ship again:: ...Constitution's crew.
They have agreed to leave the planet.
N'bel: ::Nodding slowly in understanding:: Good, Status on our
ground teams?
Ta'an: Avoo'na-letket'ra Petryr stated that they and Jin’Tauri
Noram are escorting the team they encountered to their ship unless
you have different orders.
N'bel: Have them contact the ship once their "guests" have
departed. We need to know if their mission has been compromised in
any other way.
Ta'an: I'll let them know. ::The console beeped and Ta'an looked
at the console with a quizzacle look in their eyes.:: We received
another message from the Constitution.
N'bel: ::Looks back with curiosity:: And what do they say?
Ta'an: The Captain informed us that they have issues with
communications, scanners, shields, tractor beams... ::they
furrowed their brows.:: Either they are stupid or trust that we
don't attack them.
N'bel: No, they aren't stupid my kin, just in the wrong place at
the wrong time. Are they asking for anything?
Ta'an: She is asking for help. Since our systems seem to not have
as much of a problem.
That was simple enough to do. They had this other ship on the
back foot and he doubted they would try anymore foolishness at
this point. He recalled a quote from the teachings of Zinera When
a worthy foe is defeated, it is honorable to provide help. thus
turning an enemy into an ally.
N'bel: We shall grant them help.
Ta'an was not sure if that was a good idea, but they had made
clear that they were suspicious of these Starfleet people. If the
Captain wanted to take that risk it was his perogative of course.
But they would make sure to say 'told you so' if that backfired.
N'bel: ::starts issuing orders the crew:: Helm, bring us into a
matching orbit with that ship. Engineering, muster a repair party
and be prepared to provide assistance. ::Looks to Ta'an:: Can we
get a clean signal through to them? I wish to talk with their
captain.
They checked the signal strength and nodded slightly.
Ta'an: With their removal of the chrondite layer it should be a
clearer connection.
N'bel: Excellent Ta'an, proceed.
The Zintara opened a channel on the other ship's frequency and the
screen changed to the bridge of the other ship, the red haired
woman with the bright skin and spots around her face looked at
them with a smile. The image was clearer than the first attempt.
Ta'an squinted slightly. Something with her eyes was strange. One
of them looked a bit different from the other, but they had no
idea why.
N'bel: =\/= I am Captain N'bel Vulikan Zinera of the Kameryan ship
Fenix Ignus. Are you the captain? =\/=
Ta'an leaned against the console when they listened to the
conversation. It was friendly and the excuse why they were in this
Nebula at this Planet was reasonable but it may be their
suspicious nature of a warrior that made them feel like it was too
convenient, too friendly and they were too helpful. They took a
deep breath when N'bel kept adding on how they could help each
other and Ta'an couldn't help but think it was a bad idea. Maybe
they'd turn out to be wrong, but someone had to be careful here.
While they talked the ship was called and so Ta'an spoke quietly
in the background.
Jin’Tauri: =\/= Ta'an, we have escorted our visitors back to their
shuttle ship. =\/=
Ta'an: =\/= Heard. I will contact you in a few moments with new
orders. =\/=
Before long the channel closed and N'bel leaned back in his chair,
Ta'an had the feeling he was rather pleased with himself.
N'bel: There, you see? Not so bad as we thought eh?
Ta'an: I don't know kin. They are too nice, too generous, too
helpful, too... everything. It's like they are compensating for
something. We still should be watchful that they aren't suddenly
turning around and bury a knife in our chest.
The captain stood and stretched before walking towards the exit.
Ta'an's head turned to follow him with their gaze.
N'bel: Hah! Always with you there must be something more my kin!
::stops at the exit:: And that is why You are so good at your job.
And, with some more tempering, you will forge your own captaincy
one day.
Hearing the words from their superior meant a lot, after all doing
a good job was part of their pride.
Ta'an: Havila, kin. I will continue to do my best.
((OOC: Havila: Kameryan for "Thank you"/"Gratitude" ))
N'bel: I am going to seek refreshment, then start preparing a
report for our leaders. You have the bridge until I return Ta'an,
try not to blow anything up while I am gone eh?
Ta'an: I make no promises.
When N'bel laughed Ta'an smiled slightly. They did not foresee
that there would be much reason to blow something up, but one
never knew. This other ship could still start trouble after all.
Once the Captain as gone they opened a channel to the teams
again.
Ta'an: =\/= Fenix Ignus to ground teams. N'bel talked with the strangers. They will send people to help with research down there, it looks like they have Scientists and Doctors who might be able to help. Let the others know and make good use of it. =\/=
Kameryans on ground: Response if you want
