(( USS Constitution, Captain's Office ))
Leaning back in her bean bag chair, Jalana went through the
reports she had gotten from all the departments across the ship
for this mission and there was a lot to consider and include in
her report. But she also wanted to make sure to keep things logged
in the ship's archive. She tapped her PADD against her hand and
took her tea cup from the table to take a sip.
Exhaling she nodded.
Rajel: Computer record.
The computer's confirming beep still echoed in her ear when it was
long gone.
Rajel: ~~/CL\~~ Captain's log, Stardate 204303.04 - We have made
our way back from the Rigar Nebula and the Planet we have found
inside. While our crew has dubbed it 'Peekaboo', we have by now
learned that the Kameryans who found the planet before us have
given it the name Syraya which means ‘the growing rock’. Since
they were there before us, I honor their naming of the planet in
our files.
Syraya is a planet that Starfleet has not discovered before and
does not appear to have a sun. According to reports from our away
teams, the planet is dark however dimly lit by discharges in the
sky. The atmosphere does not seem to be harmful for breathing,
though particles of the nebula are present, so I would not
recommend to go without breathing protection. The air does include
Chrondite which is metallic and could harm the body when breathed
in, as well as other elements as stated in the science reports.
These reports also includes information about various flora and
fauna on the planet, that has surprised out away teams.
The Planet is also home to a plant Kameryans called Hranya that
they have found there, and found to be useful against a sickness
of their people. So they have established ways on the surface of
Syraya to cultivate more of this plant that seemingly can only be
grown n those special circumstances, which our Medical and Science
officers confirmed after joined research and testing. While
research and tests were ongoing on the surface more Kameryan ships
arrived as backup for more cultivation and transport of the Hranya
plant.
The unique make up of the nebula had caused us a lot of problems,
but Captain N'bel of the Kameryan ship Fenix Ignus has provided us
with their scientific data of the Nebula and Engineering
adjustments they had made to their ship to navigate the nebula
safely. In combination with the adjustments that So'Mior, SydT and
Minxing made, it helped us to navigate the nebula safely for the
rest of the time. I hope that our mutual aid towards the other has
opened the doors to deepen our relationship with the Kameryan
people. We have offered our help should their people ever need it.

The Trill took another sip from her mug, having spoken so much had
dried her mouth a bit. Smacking her lips she considered what else
she wanted to include. Ah right the mission the had actually been
on.
Rajel: ~~/CL\~~ The needed equipment has been transported to
Pelleus so we were able to head north again making our way to the
Tucker Shipyards. When I informed Starfleet HQ of our need for
repairs at the yards I was also informed that we have been long
overdue for some upgrades. So while we are there, we will get
those as well. I have been asked for some input which I was happy
to give and have also asked the department heads for anything they
may need and were missing, so we have a chance to provide them
with those changes. There is a chance that we may have to move off
the ship in waves when the teams work on various areas of the
ship, but it will be worth it. ~~/CL\~~
She sighed when something else went through her mind. The loss
this encounter had taken with it.
Rajel: ~~/CL\~~ During the brief attack, when we lost Main Shuttle
bay we also lost four of our crew members. Based on other
personnel Lieutenant Harel, Ensign B'Tok, Crewman Second Class
Petra Gaynes and Petty Officer Second Class Hugo Grant have lost
their lives in the attack as they tried to get everyone out of the
Main Shuttle bay when the damage explosions cascaded towards the
exit doors. While we are grateful for their actions that saved
dozens of officers and civilians working in the hangar, their loss
is weighing heavy. Throughout several lifetimes it has never
gotten easier to lose people working with or under me. And while
it may be easier if I would, I don't want it to get easier. It
would be a slippery slope from there. ~~/CL\~~
She grew silent again and took a deep breath.
Rajel: ~~/CL\~~ Once we are at Tucker Station we will have to
transport a few officers to medical transporters that will bring
them to the nearest medical facilities that have more capacity
than us helping their recovery. Among those leaving to be in
medical care are Jori Mec and Maramox who were injured during
their first away mission. Eze Tapor was transferred to a new post
and will leave as well. I have also received news that we are
receiving a new transfer in Charlotte Brexis for Intel. I hope
she'll get along well with Nugra and he won't try to eat her.
~~/CL\~~
Peeling herself out of the bean bag chair Jalana moved to the
window and looked outside, seeing the station in the distance. It
wouldn't be long now.
Rajel: ~~/CL\~~ We are about to arrive at the Ship Yards. I
haven't been there before despite it having been around for over
twenty years, ever since the attempted Borg Invasion in 2381. I
don't know anything about it, but I look forward to exploring it.
Maybe we can even have a look at the ground facilities and mines
to see how the yards work. We will see. For now, computer end
recording and save. ~~/CL\~~
Jalana raised the cup to her mouth for another sip. She couldn't
wait for some time off in a new environment. Maybe she could
convince Cade to check out some places on the station or have him
cook for them.
It wasn't much later when the Constitution was close enough to be
guided by a tractor beam to their docking clamp that would be
their home during the repairs and upgrades. Tucker Station was
open for business.
((OOC: AAAAAND with this Shore Leave is here! Enjoy your time on
the Tucker Fleetyards, the wiki has a page on it if you need any
information. We can still make up what kind of amenities and
facilities it has, just keep it within reason since this station
only has a fraction of the size of 104 and is not a HUB :D ))
