She bounced Aven gently in her arms, noticing that he was calming
down a little. With a smile she walked back behind the counter.
Richards: You must be a mom. You’re good with him.
Kapoor: I have twins too. It's been a while that I was able to
hold them like this though. ::She grinned:: They just left for the
Academy Campus on Starbase 104.
Richards: I can only imagine how wild they are going to get…
Kapoor: Oh they will be wild, you'll be hardly able to catch
breath. But they're worth it. So now that I know Aven and Leera..
what is your name?
Richards: Right ::Chuckling:: Samantha Richards.
Kapoor: Nice to meet you Samantha. ::With one hand she typed on
the console before her, while the other still gently rocked
Aven.:: There you are. Science. Would you prefer quarters near
your area of work or far away to have a break from it after your
shift?
Richards: Can we settle for somewhere in the middle?
Kapoor: Absolutely. Let's see what we have. ::She opened the
Quarters overview and chose the area that was not directly with
the main science area but also not far away. She did account for
the upcoming changes for those areas.:: Mhm Stardrive Section Deck
9 has something available. It's a bit on the larger size double
quarters so one of the bedrooms can function as the kid's room.
Richards: I can work with that. Thank you.
Chandni pressed a few keystrokes to assign Samantha and her
children to these quarters adn then bounced Aven slightly on her
arm with a smile and looked to him.
Kapoor: You hear that? You and your sister have your own room, so
mommy can sleep without you babbling into her ear. ::She grinned
and looked to Sam.:: All set.
Richards: So tell me about your twins. I haven’t met another twin
mom. ::Picking Leera up from the wagon:: Not many understand how
hard it is.
Kapoor: ::smiling:: Their names are Nishikanta and Vijanyendra,
though most people can't remember the whole name so we call them
Nishi and Vija. They are identical twins. From the moment they
could talk they created imaginary scenarios in which Nishi was a
superhero who could fly and Vija's superhero could do miracles
with tech and engineering. You can guess which departments they
are aiming for.
Richards: Response
Kapoor: ::nodding:: Exactly. What made them especially wild and at
times difficult to deal with is that they are half Betazoids
something I have no experience with.
Richards: Response
Kapoor: ::laughing:: No way, really? Well we had some great help
on board, I can tell you all about it when the time comes that
they need their training. For now you are safe.
Richards: Response
Kapoor: Yes, their dad. He's not around, never really was. I got
pregnant at the end of my first year at the Academy, stupid I
know. ::She rolled her eyes with a grin.:: Well we married because
he thought that's what he's supposed to do. When the boys were
born and he realized how much work twins are he ran off.
Richards: Response
Kapoor: No we were in the same year which made it very awkward. He
never wanted to see the boys either, we divorced without issue and
my rommmate and my best childhood friend helped me with the boys
until I graduated.
