The barkeep returned with their orders and set them down in front of both women. The Iced Chai Latte for SydT, and chilled Prune juice and olives for Ba'el.

SydT: Thank you. ::She reached for the drink set in front of her.::

Ba'el: ::To the barkeep:: Thank you. ::turns to SydT, lifts her glass of prune juice in greeting:: New to the ship?

SydT: Yes. This mission was my first. I'm SydT. ::She smiled at the Klingon woman.::

Ba'el: Welcome aboard. ::extends her hand in greeting:: I'm Counselor Ba'el.

SydT: Thank you. ::She took the other womans hand.:: 

After shaking hands, Ba'el pauses to eat an olive before continuing the chat.

Ba'el: So, how do you like it aboard the Constitution so far?

SydT: I am enjoying it. Though it is much different than the academy. 

Ba'el: Response

SydT: I just think it's a little more... ::She was stuck for a word.:: exciting.

Ba'el: Response

SydT: I haven't met many people here. ::She took a sip of her Chai tea.:: But everyone has been nice.

SydT looked around and noted the jovial atmosphere.
