(( USS Constitution-B – Deck 34 ))
( Trauma Center )
With the process to heal Ba'el going, Maiman wanted to do the process as quick and safe as possible. The interest of the FO in her condition was understadable, but distracting. As he began to talk with Ba'el and she answered, the Commander stepped in and folded his arms while leaning up against the wall. She was surprised by the action, but he didn't crossed the threshold of the privacy wall. She'd have preferred for him to wait outside and leave the chatting for later, but while he stays there, she can do her work and bear with that.
Ba'el: ::Looks back to Diz:: So what else is happening?
Ch'Nilmani: I only got a basic run down from Jalana but it looks like the substance we were trying to scrap off as Chrondite and sciences is trying to figure out how to get it off faster. It's causing the ship hull to heat up.
Maiman checked the readings and noticed that all superficial ruptures had been regenerated. There was still some muscles tissues that broke under the stress of negative pressure and freezing.
Ba'el: Hrmm..that does sound like a problem
Terpes: =/\= Terpes to Sickbay =/\=
Sickbay: =/\= Respond =/\=
Ch'Nilmani: Add on top of that, it was a species called Kameryans that took a shot at us. They've powered down their weapons now but I think the Connie is hurt more than we realize.
Ba'el: The Kameryans attacked us?
Terpes: =/\= Lieutenant Ba'el is recovering from epidermal and muscular damage. I require her to be transferred to where she can be treated for alveoli damage due to Intracellular Ice Formation, current oxygen blood saturation 87%. I'll finish dermal regeneration in the next two minutes. =/\=
Sickbay: =/\= Respond =/\=
She will wait for the authorization from main sickbay to transport Ba'el there, either by physical transport or beamed if transporters were brought back online.
Ch'Nilmani: ::to Terpes:: How is she doing overall?
Terpes: She's recovering from external wounds, however there's a problem with her breathing. Is not going over 87% wich isn't a good thing.
Ba'el: ::Looks at Diz:: I thought we were friends with the Kameryans, has something changed?
Ch'Nilmani: Respond
Suddenly, Maiman's mind picked up somee stress, the direction was Ba'el's so she turned to her as she let out a very loud and raspy cough. She knew she's starting to panic , not willingly, but maybe their previous physical contact had left some lingering effect. Ba'el looked up, wide eyed, at Terpes, then Diz.
Ba'el: ::Raspy voice between gasps:: I can't...cough, cough.....I can't breathe!
Maiman and Lopez quickly get to each side of the biobed and readings showed a spike in adrenaline and CK-MB enzymes. A thin line of blood trickles from the corner of her mouth as she fell back onto the biobed gasping for air.
Terpes: We need to help her breath better
Considering she'd already given her Triox, she thought foranother solution for her issues breathing.
Ch'Nilmani: Respond
Ba'el tried very hard to breathe and she looked to Terpes a panicked expression on her face as she became desperate to take in enough oxygen to breathe
Terpes: I've got you, stay with me. Lopez, Dexaline, 5 ccs.
Ch'Nilmani: Respond
Terpes: We'll work with her. If you wanna help, check with engineering if transporters are working and sickbay for an emergency transport or to bring us a doctor! Hurry!!
Lopez arrived with the hypospray in hand and she checked it, not because she didn't trust her, but it was a habit to check things for herself. It took her about a secord or two before pressing it to her neck and administering the medicine.
Ba'el: Response (if any)
Terpes: I can't raise the oxygen level more without risking hyperoxia. :: looking to Lopez :: Get 10 ccs of Melorazine ready. If she didn't stablize in the next two minutes, we might need to sedate her a bit to regulate her breathing and avoid her agitation to go higher.:: Looking back at Ba'el :: Ba'el, I've got you, I won't let you down. I've got a lot to learn from you and ... I don't want the extra work of having your patients added to my list. Don't you dare to do that to me!
Humor was something that helps ease tension and she hoped that that comment will take some of the attention about her breathing problems away for a moment, enough for the Dexaline to work it's effects and help her.
Ba'el: Response
Ch'Nilmani: Response
Sickbay/Mark: Response (if any)
