Lieutenant Is’Kah Xiron - Superhero landing?

Ada: Uh-huh. And how many of those can you handle, half of one? Am I going to have to carry you back to the hotel?
Is'Kah: If you want to carry me back, then give me a tall glass of chocolate milk, neat.
Ada: Oh, right. I forget that chocolate is an intoxicant for you. Duly noted.
Is'Kah: How about we start the night with a shot of chocolate for me and tequila for you?
Ada: Hmm. Fine, I'll have one boozy drink but then it's back to the mint oil for me.
The hybrid grinned as zha started to feel wind resistance, causing a check of zhen speedometer, they were just over 1000 kph. It wouldn’t be much longer before the atmosphere slowed them to a tenth of their current speed.
Is’Kah was looking forward to the night. Azura was right about the looks they would get from landing in the club in Tokyo. Zha could see the city on the eastern side of the archipelago of Japan, but realized that zha had no idea where they were going to land. Zha rolled so that zha could lower zhen head to look at Azura, mock anger in zhen voice.
Is'Kah: Oh, you tricksy woman! No wonder you wanted me to know your drink, you never told me where we’re going besides Tokyo! Of course, you’re going to win.
Ada: Ha! No, no. Not like that, I'm going to win on pluck and wry scheming. And possibly doing something mildly stupid, but we'll see how that goes. ::beat:: We're landing at--oh the wind is much stronger now! We're landing at OWL, in Shinjuku.
Is'Kah: I haven’t been in that area of Tokyo. So many skyscrapers.
Ada: When I win, I win fair. And I always win. ::She laughed at the mock sincerity in her own voice:: And when I lose, I--Oh!
The hybrid felt it a moment before Ada cried out in shock as the wind took them both. The petite hybrid was far lighter than the other officer, sending zhen tumbling as zha was pushed away and up. Twisting as zhen fall resumed, Is’Kah looked for Azura, zhen HUD flashed a box around her position.
Is'Kah: Azura! Are you alright?
Ada: I'm fine, I'm fine! I--can--just... ok. Did that get you too?
Is'Kah: I feel like I’m a leaf on the wind up here. Of course, it did. I’m 1500 meters above and to the west of you.
Ada: Whoa and I can feel the deceleration. That's... surreal. ::Just then the cloud cover over Tokyo opened up, revealing the city below, glistening.:: Look! Tokyo. And the patch that's extra colorful and bright? Shinjuku. Use your suit HUD to plot a path to OWL, if you want.
The hybrid quickly found the club and added it as the destination. A few seconds later, the optimal flight path appeared on zhen HUD, even though zha wasn’t through the cloud layer.
Is'Kah: Path set. How do you want to arrive? Cutting the shoots off three meters off the ground and doing the iconic Superhero landing, or are we landing like a couple of J-pop stars?
As the hybrid broke through the cloud layer, zha eyes widened as zha took in the view. The archipelago from four kilometers up was breathtaking.
Ada: Response
Is'Kah: Perfect, it will draw all eyes to us.
Ada: Response
Following the path, Is’Kah smiled as zha spotted the skyscraper with the penthouse club that OWL was in. Beyond that, zha couldn’t identify their landing spot. It wasn’t much longer before the parashoots opened, first for Ada, then Is’Kah’s a few moments later. The sudden slowdown pulled the hybrid's stomach into zhen throat for a few heartbeats before zhen speed slowed down enough. A beep drew the hybrid’s attention.
Is'Kah: 60 seconds until touchdown.
Glancing around, Is’Kah smiled at the view of Japan, with Mount Fuji in the distance. The snow-capped mountain to the south of them was as beautiful as zha remembered from zhen last visit.
oO Next time we’re where, I am going to climb that mountain with Ghee’looth. Oo
