(( Conference Room, Deck 3 - Primary Hull, USS Chin’toka ))
T'Ama: Oh, I have a lot. It is probably best to tell it to you first so you can get started on it.
Brodie / Ilsam: response
As the conference room emptied out, T’Ama moved seats to the far end of the conference table with Brodie and Ilsam.
T’Ama: At approximately 0130 hours this morning the Artemis detected a Borg Cube running in a semi-shut down state in the Badlands. It had arrived recently and appeared to be waiting. Shortly after it was detected the long-range communications array was destroyed by sabotage, preventing the Artemis from sending a warning.
Brodie / Ilsam: response
T’Ama: The Artemis beamed an away team onto the Cube, but shortly thereafter another act of sabotage took out the sensor pod and we lost contact with them. Security footage led us - led ME - to believe we had Changeling saboteurs on board.
Brodie / Ilsam: response
T’Ama: Lieutenant Silveira and I were sent to hunt down the Changeling, which we did capture alive. A second Changeling was blown out of the shuttle bay into space when it attempted to do the same to some ensigns. We were then recalled to the bridge to engage the Borg Cube in battle.
Brodie / Ilsam: response
T’Ama: Reports from both the away teams indicate the Cube was badly damaged, even before they blew up the shield array. For some reason most of the drones were being drawn to a single point, abandoning most of the Cube. There were also a number of dead drones in various states of decomposition.
Brodie / Ilsam: response
She nodded.
T’Ama: Yes, the away team posited that the Borg were experimenting. They drew the blood of some of the older away team members.
She pulled up a list of the names and ages of the team that attested to seeing the experimentation chamber on her PADD and fed it to the conference room display.
Brodie / Ilsam: response
T’Ama: And then there’s the device that the Changelings stole from a Borg research lab on Amity. Research on it is ongoing, but Commander Hopper believed it was a “Harmonic Convergence Node”. Which, apparently, is a mass Borg neural transceiver, which could connect thousands of drones into a local collective.
Brodie / Ilsam: response
She heaved a sigh after unloading all of that on them. It was a lot to take in, and it wasn’t looking good.
((OOC: Apologies for the amount of tags in this absolutely massive info dump of a sim, but I wanted to get it all out.))
