Lt Commander T'Ama - The Admiral's Not Happy

T’Ama sat back in the first officer’s chair, legs crossed at the knee. One finger scratched at the seat material sweeping down to cradle her. Not quite an arm rest. Cushy.
She glanced around the bridge, and it bustled in the calm way it did when everything was fine. She supposed she was in charge of this now, at least until the captain came back into the room.
Neshala: Captain on the bridge.
Her head turned and tracked Serala as she came to sit in the center chair.
Serala: As you were. Commander T’Ama, I believe we’ve pretty much done everything we can here for now. The Vulcan delegation should be arriving in the next few days and we have new orders.
Her eyebrow climbed slightly. Leaving before smoothing over the transition with the Vulcans?
T’Ama: What are they?
Serala: We’re headed back to Earth for a long overdue respite.
T’Ama: Sure it’s not a punishment?
Serala: Well, I will have to give a report to Command about what happened here, but it’s not as bad as it might have been, all things considered. But Starfleet Command has decided we need some extended downtime and the Chin’toka is going to receive some new upgrades. We should have several weeks there, if not a month or more.
T’Ama: There are certainly worse places to vacation.
Like working in the middle of space and calling it shore leave. Where was the shore? Where was the leave?

Serala: Well, I for one am looking forward to a little R and R. I think I’ll visit my sister in Bogotá.
T’Ama: Your mother has left?
Serala: Responses
She grunted a hm sound. She didn’t really keep up with what the captain’s family/Romulan diplomats were doing.

T’Ama: I’m looking forward to spending some time with my grandmother.
Serala: response
T’Ama: She’s an admiral. Was retired. Got reactivated after Frontier Day to investigate who in the brass had been replaced by Changelings. She wasn’t too happy about my eye.
