((Wright Quarters, USS Chin’toka, Docked Starbase 1))

Is’Kah glanced between Hana and T’Pa before looking at a confused S’Rorr. He appeared to have the unlucky dice roll to have to escort them around the ship. Perhaps it was a good thing he was there as Hana was about to unload upon her visitor. Moving quickly, Is’Kah took S’Rorr’s paw and pulled him into Hana’s quarters, yet remained Vulcan as she was stiff and her face blank while speaking in a monotone. S’Rorr made a trilling, feline sort of sound as he was yoinked inside.

Is’Kah: ::whispering:: S’Rorr, I hope you have the rest of the day open, as you are about to be required to mediate.

S’Rorr: M.. mediate? Is someone in trouble?

S’Rorr was beginning to think that someone was himself.

Is’Kah put a finger to her mouth, then pointed to her eyes and then to Hana, and T’Pa. Internally, she was panicking, focusing mainly on her mother. Then, another part of her, from her Vulcan training, had snapped into place just by seeing her mother. She also noticed that her pronouns had mentally shifted to "she" and "her" just by placing her mask back on. Something to think about later, perhaps the next time she visited S’Rorr’s office.

T’Pa carefully shoved her emotions down and tried to adjust her thoughts of baby T’Hana and replace them with this woman. It took a moment before her child’s words registered.

T’Pa: Future version? What is your meaning?

This meeting did not follow the expected path.

Wright: Ishie, would this happen to have anything to do with that poor woman and her dead kid? Look, I see the resemblance, but I’m not her.

Is’Kah: I have not confirmed the DNA as requested by Stoval. Nor did I contact her. Yet, it would appear that yes, you are T’Hana, T’Pa’s daughter.

Something like rage but fiercer than anything Hana had felt before bubbled up like a pot left to boil. She took a step back, retreating into her space. Teela was still in the bedroom.

Wright: Leave. Now

The child/woman/stranger’s face contorted in a brash display of emotion. T’Pa was confused and felt assaulted by the emotion she had not expected. Is’Lath had talked to her, but her own ferocity of emotions had not let anything absorb.

T’Pa: Leave? I just arrived. You have been gone so long.

Is’Kah wanted to say something to T’Pa, but the body language from the Vulcan and the tones in her friend's voice told her to stay quiet for once in her life.

Wright: ::snorting in disgust:: Yes. Leave. Go. Exit. I don’t know why you’re here. You aren’t welcome.

oO Who does this woman think she is?Oo Hana was willing to admit that maybe this was the woman who gave birth to her, but then Hana owed her nothing. Nothing at all

Her heart tore. T’Pa had not thought it was possible for her heart to suffer any more than it had and yet the words tore another gash. Interestingly, T’Pa was so used to the constant pain that it served to clear her mind rather than distract her. She shook her head.

T’Pa: I would like to know why you wish me to leave and why you have anger towards me.

Wright: …are you kidding me? Like seriously you are deluded if you think I would want a thing to do with you.

Hana’s hand clenched into fists. Her heart was pounding and it was getting a bit hard to breathe. There she was. The monster of her childhood come to torture her and acting like she still had any right to her.

T’Pa: I assure you that I do not kid.

Wright: Oh so you seriously believed that you could just waltz back into my life and I would somehow be the perfect Vulcan brat you always wanted? In what world would that make sense, huh? What, you hear that I made something of myself and decided to come along and play proud mother now that the hard part is over? Go to hell!

Hot tears streamed down Hana’s cheeks. Was she just a toy to this woman? She wrapped her arms around herself as her knees started to shake.

T’Pa was hit by the wave of hatred and winced. It was difficult to cut through the confusion this caused. She could not hug her child. What was she supposed to do? Her feet were rooted to the floor and she literally could not move. She turned to Is’Lath, to see if the other woman could help her understand.

T’Pa: She hates me. What did I do? What do I do?

Wright: Oh course I hate you! I know you computers like to pretend emotion is pointless but what the hell else would I feel? You threw me out with the trash! I was worth nothing to you so why would you be worth a damn to me?!

Hana wanted to throw something. To throttle that emotionless, heartless, husk of a so-called mother until she felt even a fraction of the pain she had caused her.

David’s words shot out of T’Hana’s lips and a horrified understanding hit T’Pa. The one fight she had with David before they disappeared, where he had accused her of being emotionless because she had not cried when her baby was born. Her mistake then had been to think David was capable of understanding anything he had not seen before. His illogical and incorrect assumptions had taken her child and positioned her mind.

Anger seared in T’Pa’s side. It radiated outward across her entire body. Her fists clinched and she began to shake. Her grasp on logic failed.

Hana took a step back as something in the woman before her changed, icy fear flaring. Would she strike her? That didn’t seem like something a Vulcan would do, but this woman was a monster.

Is'Kah swallowed hard as she watched T'Pa's rage build. The woman was about to snap, her Vulcan control all but gone, causing the hybrid to take a step back.

T’Pa: I will kill him. That baka* took you from me. He lied to you. He stole my baby.

Her jaw clenched and it was all she could to stay still. Logic gone she could not see. She could only feel the betrayal she now knew in her heart to be true. The man she had trusted stolen her soul.

Wright: ::shouting:: How dare you! How dare you? leave my dad out of this you…you heartless deadbeat! You don’t get to stroll on in and pretend you give a damn about me when you spent twenty-flipping-four years pretending I didn’t exist! Dad gave up everything to raise me! You couldn’t even be bothered to sign a piece of paper admitting that I was yours!

The anger between the two had built to a point where lines that were previously uncrossable could be crossed, prompting her to take action. Bowing slightly to T’Pa before walking over her, Is’Kah placed her hand on the Vulcan’s forearm.

Hana was about to catch a charge for assault when Ishie stepped in between them, trying, bless their heart, to keep an already ugly situation from getting bloody.

Is’Kah: Forgive me for stepping in, but you see, Lady T’Pa, David told your Hana that you didn’t want her because it was illogical for your career. That you dumped her on him, and the man has spent her entire life making her hate part of herself. She was raised as a human; thus, I would suggest you treat her as such. I also would recommend not controlling your emotions.

Words were not sinking in through her anger but being touched by another Vulcna was rare. I was rare enough that it cut through a layer of anger. It still took time for Is’Kah’s words to penetrate. When they did another wave of anger overtook her at the lies David had poured into her innocent child’s mind.

Wright: Dad didn’t make me hate myself, he just let me know the kind of cruelty I could expect for your kind.

Is’Kah: Excuse me, your kind? I am part of that same kind, Hana. Do I treat you as you expected?

Wright: I…full-Vulcans. Only one, maybe two of those ever…ever showed me anything but disdain.

She knew what she said was wrong. She knew that and would apologize to Is’Kah later. It had taken years but she had learned that it was her mother who was cruel, not the people she came from, but she couldn’t back down. Not now.

T’Pa began to hear T’Hana again. She could not control it any longer. She tilted her head back and screamed. The rage poured out of her body, her hands clenched into fists tight enough to draw blood. Hot green blood dripped down her hands but T’Pa felt none of it. Her rage controlled her now. She raised her fists and she slammed them on the floors sending a crack across the floor in a spiderweb around her.

Hana was suddenly back in the bowels of the living planet with a Romulan holding a knife to her heart. She was hyperventilating and what little air she was getting was being stolen by sobs.

She couldn’t breathe. She couldn’t breathe. She couldn’t breathe.

T’Pa panted on the floor for a few minutes. Letting the rage out was exhausting and it cleared her mind a bit. This was not going to work.

T’Pa: Is’Lath. I need to walk away before I break something else. Please explain the truth to my daughter.

Is’Kah: I will escort you, if you would prefer

T’Pa: Yes.

She did not trust herself to say more. She rose slowly as she was unsteady and let Is’Kah escort her outside.

Just as they were leaving the room, someone else entered. Stoval had sensed that something was deeply wrong with Hana and had immediately left his station to find her. He barely registered the others leaving or in the room with her.

Hana thought she was going to collapse, the room was swimming around her and her breath was starting to hurt. She didn’t even notice Stoval come into the room, but he caught her all the same, lowering them both to the ground as she lost her balance. She clinged to him as she wailed. Wordless, heaving sobs that wracked her body.

Stoval: It will be okay, ashayam. I have you..

Hana only sobbed harder, lost, for a moment, to the world, feeling only his body against hers and his soothing presence in her mind.
