Serala stood in front of her desk with Commander Sherlock at her side and faced the two officers. They had done extremely well in their time aboard her ship, but apparently they had also done well elsewhere prior to their transfer.
Serala: Lieutenant T’Ama, Lieutenant Stapledon, I just received a transmission from Commodore Rajel aboard the USS Constitution-B. She wanted to pass along some service ribbons that the two of you earned during your time on that ship, so it’s my pleasure and honor to present those to you know. I only apologize that I didn’t get this transmission before our recent awards ceremony.

Serala: Let’s get to it then. Lieutenant T’Ama :: Serala lifted the padd and began to read from it :: For injuries sustained in the line of duty resulting in a loss of your eye, you are being awarded the Purple Heart. :: she paused and looked at the Lieutenant :: And what did I tell you about the Purple Hearts, Lieutenant?
((OOC: I believe I already awarded this as well for the same reason, but double check that for me)).
T’Ama: Response
Serala: Good. :: reading once more from the PADD :: Additionally, you are being awarded the Diplomacy Ribbon for your efforts to talk down an individual who was attempting to flee and for persuading him to stay.

Sherlock: Response
Serala smiled at her and nodded.
Serala: Lieutenant Stapledon, for your efforts in stopping a wild beast using the high frequency settings in your phaser and disorienting it enough to stop it in its tracks, you have been awarded the Innovation Ribbon.
Stapledon: Response
Sherlock: Response
Serala: Very clever, Lieutenant. Much in the same way you so brilliantly came up with a way to stop the Borg on Frontier Day.
Stapledon: Response
Serala lifted the PADD once more and continued.
Serala: The rest of these were awarded to both of you for the same reasons. For your work with the administration and inhabitants of Paolke Colony on Drever IV, you are being awarded the Joint Meritorious Unit Award. You are each also receiving the Starfleet Investigative Ribbon and Medical Science Ribbon for discovering the source of the life-threatening contamination on the planet and working together to eliminate the infectious agent in the colony’s biosphere that was making people sick and did pose a threat to the entire colony.
Sherlock: Response
T’Ama / Stapledon: Responses
Serala: Well, it sounds like it was a very interesting mission. I will have to pull the official records some time and see what that was all about, but congratulations you two and well done.
