Edrei: That's up to you. If you don't end up changing your diet, we'll have to consider restrictions on the replicators.

The thought of a restricted diet enforced by the power of the almighty Ship's Computer had him feeling weak and desperate.

oO Could.. Could Hana Wright help me get past a replicator? Come on, Rory, already thinking about begging people to replicate pork rinds for you? Pathetic. Oo

Edrei: And in that case, don't even think on asking someone else to replicate those for you. ::she winked:: I'll know.

S'Rorr: ::surprised:: Hey.. no reading my mind, that's not fair.

Not that he really thought the Betazoid was prying. He had a lot of faith in fellow doctors; he'd sworn the oath himself. He knew she wouldn't go probing without his permission. She stifled a laugh, though, and that was his goal. A little humor had a way of making an awkward situation less so.

Edrei: I didn't. Do you think you're the first person I have to tell this to? ::grinning:: You all think you can bypass the restrictions one way or another without me knowing.

S'Rorr shrugged his shoulders and put on a toothy grin.

S'Rorr: Well, we wouldn't be Starfleet if we weren't natural problem solvers.

S'Rorr decided not to attempt to bypass whatever diet plan she came up with. He did trust her not to go poking around in his mind looking for his guilt.. but he knew himself well and didn't trust himself not to menetally scream it at her the moment he came in for his followup. And anyway, his blood tests would betray him if his conscious didn't, first.

Edrei: So, what's it gonna be? A diet plan where you can still eat a bit or junk food, or do we have to go all strict on it because you won't be able to stick by it?

She leaned back in her chair, crossing her arms on her chest and S'Rorr slumped forward a little, resting his arms on his knees like he was just tired. Even his tail flopped over the edge of the exam table like a lifeless rope.

S'Rorr: I'll stick to it..

Edrei: You really seem upset about all that. What's it about?

S'Rorr: It's just.. There's not a lot of foods that I like. Even Caitian food. So.. I have a habit of just picking the same old stuff. I don't even think about it. I'll realize that I shouldn't be having ice cream for dinner the third night in a week, but only after I've already finished it.

Edrei: Response

S'Rorr: Even with a plan doing all the thinking for me and making my choices, I know it's going to try to feed me.. blehck.. health food. When I don't like a food, I'd rather skip a meal entirely. I've always been a light eater.

Edrei: Response

S'Rorr: Haha.. maybe you're right. I mean, I know you're right. I'm just not looking forward to it. I'll have to just try to think of it like medicine.

Edrei: Response

S'Rorr: I don't suppose.. we could get together with the Science department and invent a healthy ice cream?

Edrei: Response

S'Rorr: Yeah.. I thought not.

S'Rorr sat up straight again and ran his fingers through his hair as he looked longingly at the replicator on the wall. Sure, it was a drug replicator not programmed to make food, but it represented Replicator Kind across the ship and he longed to treat himself to a giant bag of neon orange dusty cheese triangles just for doing such a good job at his medical exam. And then he felt his heart sink at the thought of having to choose HEALTHY food, instead, like caitian small animal giblets and fish skin.

oO Goodbye, cheese triangles. I'll come back to you.. some day. Oo
