(( Holodeck, Deck 7, USS Chin'toka ))
S'Rorr: Computer, load my Tennis 2 program, please.
The blank cubular white room evaporated around Counselor S'Rorr and became a scene from Cari'Ol so realistic he could feel the heat of the star and the wind on his hair. These holodecks never quite got the scent quite right to S'Rorr's heightened sense but
it was close enough to be uncanny. The cube became a tennis court high on a hill across a flowing river from the skyscrapers and airlift traffic of Cait's capitol city. The field was red clay and surrounded by high energy fencing that was only visible as a
faint pink tint until it was hit by a tennis ball or projectile racket.
All around was a thriving city park with tall trees and walking paths and red-orange fields of Caitian grass. Caitians mostly walked those paths and played tennis or other sports in other fields about the area, well simulated but still merely set dressing.
The holodeck's Arch was still open and it felt jarring to S'Rorr to see a Chin'tokan corridor in the middle of that wide open space.
S'Rorr had just put on a light P.E. uniform from his academy days, a sleeveless top and shorts. He'd opted not to wear shoes at all. To manage his abundance of fluff, he'd pulled his fabulous mane tightly back behind his head and tied it off. His equally fluffy
tail he'd put in an stretchy sleeve in science blue that made it much more managable except for where it poofed out at the end like a lion's tail. He had his real racket but would rely on holo tech for the tennis balls because it was fun to see them sometimes
pop over the fencing propelled by a Vulcan or Klingon swing and fly off into the far distance where a real ball would bounce off of the air and return at the boundaries of the physical space.
He'd arrived first and took the opportunity to tweak the program.
S'Rorr: Let's make it a little cloudier.
The sky shifted and cloud cover increased, bringing the harshness of the light down. S'Rorr wasn't actually sure if a humanoid could get sunburn from a holodeck with its safeties on but he liked the look of big, fluffy cumulonimbus clouds formed in warm, moist
air fleeing autumn cold fronts.
Ada/Wright/Is'Kah: Response
S'Rorr: Hello hello! Thanks for coming, I ::distracted by Ada:: .. think.. that's a very unique and interesting outfit. Striking.
Ada/Wright/Is'Kah: Response
S'Rorr rested his racket over one shoulder and his eyes wandered as he got a little lost in his own head.
S'Rorr: I've been okay. Drowning in work, you know, aren't we all?
