Wright: I'm sorry. I have tried this before, you know. Briefly, when I was a kid and more extensively with Is'kah and Stoval. I'm just...I might be a lost cause, ma'am. Something in me just doesn't work they way it should.
Indobri: I would like to try something else then, if you’re willing. It will require an active mental connection on my part, and I won’t be able to sustain it for long periods of time because it can cause synaptic damage if I do. But for short, guided sessions it could work.
Wright: Are you sure that's safe for you. I mean, everyone but Stoval who ends up in my head....doesn't have a good time.
The other woman nodded.
Indobri: You won’t be able to force me, and I can observe and guide. Instead of just focusing on visualization, what I am considering is observing your thoughts and helping you to focus on just one of them. It will take time and practice, but if we can manage it, this will have the same effect as visualization would for the average student.
Wright: Um...okay. If you think it will help.
Indobri: I would expect that you will have some questions or concerns before we begin. Would you like to address those now?
