Torvath beamed down directly into the medical facility. No sooner had he materialized than a medtech stepped up and injected him with a hypo. He turned to the soldier, about to offer a scolding when he simply stated.
Medical Tech: My apologies, Commander, but I was ordered to innoculate you immediately upon arrival. Doctor tr’Ravol will brief you more fully. I am to escort you to her, Commander, if you will follow me.
Torvath gave a single nod and followed the technician down several corridors until he reached the primary office. As he stepped in, the doctor had a very excited look on her face.
tr’Ravol: Commander, good. We can begin.
Torvath: What is going on, Doctor. This had better be good news.
tr’Ravol: The best, Commander. We’ve done it. We have the cure!
Torvath stared at her for a long moment trying to decide if this was a joke or if she was serious. And then another moment passed as he realized they had done it. They had beaten the Federation. And then a third moment passed as he began to strategize.
Torvath: Excellent work, Doctor. Begin distributing the cure to all primary treatment facilities planetwide. I will contact the Waleth and let them know the good news.
tr’Ravol: Yes, Commander.
He smiled broadly as he exited the office and made his way to his ground office. No sooner had he taken his seat than he opened a channel to the Waleth Administration.
Torvath: Councilors and Ministers, I have good news. We have a cure. I have already begun distributing it to all major treatment facilities and we will soon be moving to outlying areas.
A long conversation ensued, and eventually he managed to convince the Waleth that the assistance of the Federation was no longer necessary. He even offered to have his people help escort them off the planet.
As for the infiltration team, if he managed to capture them he would personally torture them for all the information he could obtain. Only then would he decide what to do with them.
