(( Shuttle Banshee, Feladon Surface near cave entrance ))

The trip was relatively quick. They spotted the Caraadian shuttles fairly easily and Serala had McKnight put them down a short distance away. There could be no doubt that if any Caraadians remained as guards - and she would be foolish to think there weren’t any - they would have spotted the Banshee. She had each of them issued a Type II hand phaser and they headed out. The General, however, would have to use his own weaponry as she couldn’t risk him having access to Federation technology just yet.

She had ordered weapons set to heavy stun and they moved out. A short trek through the countryside soon brought them up on the shuttles. Sure enough, four guards remained to secure their shuttles, and they clearly had seen the Starfleet craft as they were alert, concentrating in that direction, and armed. Letting McKnight lead the way, they circled around the landing zone to approach from the opposite direction, remaining low and under cover the entire time.

Taking up locations from behind some rocks, they took aim and between them, they successfully stunned the guards before they could react.

Serala: Commander Kiax, Lieutenant McKnight, secure the prisoners quickly and let’s move on. We need to reach those tunnels quickly.

Kiax / McKnight / Azorious / Zadok: Response

Serala: Yes, General. If they brought as many as we are expecting, then we just reduced their numbers significantly. Their technology is almost as good as our own, so we’re going to need to exercise some caution.

Once the Caraadians had been secured, she turned to address the team.

Serala: General, this is your planet. I can’t tell you what to do. The rest of you, I don’t think I need to remind you, but stun only.

Zadok: Response

Serala turned to him, her expression serious.

Serala: General, you are free to do as you wish, but we only use lethal force as a last resort. I don’t believe this situation warrants it. If that assessment changes, I will change my orders to my people.

Kiax / McKnight / Azorious / Zadok: Response

Serala: Alright, everyone. Let’s move out. :: to Zadok :: With your permission, General?

Zadok: Response

Serala let Amuro take the lead as they headed into the caves. They delved in pretty deep, led by the directions of General Zadok since their tricorders were still all over the place with their readings. Along the way, several of the General’s troops joined up with them. As they drew nearer, they could hear the sounds of disruptor fire from ahead. Rounding a corner, she saw a Caraadian in a kneeling position, disruptor rifle leveled and ready to fire. A quick glance showed her officers down below, sheltering behind stalagmites. Three more Caraadians also had the high ground and were hiding around a small nook from the ledge, though from her team’s perspective, they had clear shots.

Serala leveled her phaser at the one aiming for Snow’s position.

Serala: Hold it right there! Pull that trigger and I lay you out flat.

Kiax / McKnight / Azorious / Zadok: Response

Rosek / Levinson / Snow: Response

The trigger man started to press the trigger, but Serala was faster. A bright orange beam struck him true in the chest and he fell, the trigger of his rifle also firing, but missing it’s mark by several feet.
