Serala: We’re headed back to Earth for a long overdue respite.
T’Ama: Sure it’s not a punishment?
Serala, who had been making her way down to her seat in the center of the bridge finally sat down and looked at the planet cutting across the bottom left third of the viewer.
Serala: Well, I will have to give a report to Command about what happened here, but it’s not as bad as it might have been, all things considered. But Starfleet Command has decided we need some extended downtime and the Chin’toka is going to receive some new upgrades. We should have several weeks there, if not a month or more.
T’Ama: There are certainly worse places to vacation.
Any: Responses
Serala: Well, I for one am looking forward to a little R and R. I think I’ll visit my sister in Bogotá.
T’Ama: Your mother has left?
Serala: Yes, thankfully. She also took my husband and children back to the Shemsh Colony. I’ll catch up with them when we get back. Any ideas for what you’ll be doing when we get there, Number One?

T’Ama: I’m looking forward to spending some time with my grandmother.
Serala: I don’t believe I’ve heard much about your family. What’s your grandmother like?
T’Ama: She’s an admiral. Was retired. Got reactivated after Frontier Day to investigate who in the brass had been replaced by Changelings. She wasn’t too happy about my eye.
Serala let out a grimaced smirk. The Commander’s eye was already damaged when she came aboard, but a fluke during the attempted Borg take over during Frontier Day had caused Serala to miss her shot, a rarity that caused T’Ama the already damaged eye.
Serala: You going to keep bringing that up, Number One?
There was no sting in the question, just a bit of fun.
Serala: After all, if you think about it, I did you a favor.
T’Ama: Response
Serala: Well, yes. After all, consider the fancy upgrade you got. Wouldn’t have had that otherwise, now would you?
T’Ama: Response
Serala: What about you, Lyara? Any plans for shore leave on Earth?
Lyara: Response
Serala: Well, once I am done with Command, I will probably head down and visit my family in Bogotá.
