(( Brew Continuum, Deck 10, USS Chin'toka ))
T'Ama: Did that work?
Sherlock: I think so.
T’Ama: How did they react? Afterwards.
Sherlock: They followed my orders, we defused the bomb. Day was saved.
T’Ama: And I suppose the moral is don’t ever lose your cool?
Sherlock paused and squinted, thinking about it before she answered.
Sherlock: While that's a good lesson to learn, I'd say the point is that you should recognize when you should freak out.
T’Ama paused this time, closing her cloudy white right eye and looking at Sherlock with only her real left one while sipping her drink again.
T'Ama: I like that lesson more.
Never Freak Out Ever was too close to the Vulcan emotional suppression she grew up with.
Sherlock: It happens to us all. There's times I've wanted to scream at people.
Another sip, which she rolled around her mouth before speaking.
T'Ama: Was that it then? I thought there’d be more to that story.
Sherlock seemed to take her time thinking of another story to tell her, and T’Ama waited in silence, working on her blended mocha thing.
Sherlock: When that thing attacked us on the station. Mac decided to try and be a hero and it almost took his face off. ::beat:: That was stupid. There was a simpler way, a faster way, and a much less dangerous way, to take care of the situation. And having been a Security Officer my whole career, I wanted to tell him right then and there just how dumb it was.
Her head started nodding and carried on bobbing maybe a little too long as she thought about it. She answered in the style of the Tamarians.
T'Ama: T’Khio’ri, when she sniffed the floor.
Sherlock: response
T’Ama groaned and rubbed her face, especially around her right eye. It was starting to ache a little, and the chocolate was starting to kick.
T’Ama: In the computer core when the Romulans escaped she… ::beat:: She got on the floor. And she sniffed the scorch mark. ::beat:: Of where Gallahad had been vaporized.
One side of her nose was wrinkled up in disgust and she rubbed her forehead.
Sherlock: response
T’Ama: ::slightly too animated:: She just sniffed a dead body!
T’Ama paused, eyes cutting to the side to see if anyone was looking because she realized she was getting entirely too loud.
T’Ama: ::quieter and calmer:: I told her to use a tricorder next time. It’s not like we aren’t on the ship. Where there’s tricorders everywhere.
She tossed her hands up and rolled her eyes to demonstrate the clear abundance of tricorders in every nook and cranny of the Chin’toka.
Sherlock: response
T’Ama: ::sighing:: I just felt so… bad for her. With her mother coming on here and acting like a sfith-ausham.
Sherlock: response
