(( Corridor, Crashed Ship Site, Mountains, Ah’rak IV ))
T’Ama: So now all of you are injured?
She eyed them. Lee looked like she wasn’t getting anywhere on her own.
Is'Kah: It happens when you use part of the ship as a shield. We ran out of time to plan.
Somehow she didn’t quite believe planning time was the issue.
Koyama/Edrei: response
She sighed and tapped her com badge under her jacket.
T’Ama: =/\= T’Ama to Serala. There’s no more time. You guys need to get in here now. The brig escape was loud and three are injured. We have to move, but we aren’t moving fast. =/\=
Serala: =/\= response =/\=
T’Ama: =/\= Thanks. =/\=
Things were not good. Lee could probably not stand on her own. Koyama had minor injuries and was not strong enough to carry Lee. Is’Kah had more significant injuries but was Vulcan but also tiny.
T’Ama: Okay we need to get away from the populated areas of this ship. Is’Kah and Koyama, you work together on point, I’ll take up the rear and carry Lee.
Is'Kah: Roger, Commander.
Koyama/Edrei: response
Unslinging the rifle from her back, T’Ama handed it to Koyama. The sidearm she had would be more maneuverable while carrying Lee.
T’Ama: Here, take the rifle. And everyone try your best not to actually shoot the guns. They are so loud and they’ll bring everyone down on us.
Is'Kah: We are familiar with their sounds.
Her eyebrow quirked upwards.
T’Ama: ::firmly:: My point is, only fire them as a last resort.
Koyama/Edrei: response
T’Ama hefted Lee over her shoulder in a fireman's carry.
T’Ama: Sorry you don’t get the princess treatment.
Edrei: response
They started to advance in a direction that seemed vaguely away from the brig and paused at a right turn.
Is'Kah: Clear.
Koyama/Edrei: response
Still they saw no more Ah’rakkians and heard nothing but their own footsteps. Again they paused at a T junction.
Is'Kah: Commander, which direction?
They had turned right at the last one, which put them moving perpendicularly; another right would have them heading back towards the brig but one section over.
T’Ama: Left.
Koyama/Edrei: response
Is’Kah directed Koyama where to stand and T’Ama hung back and tried not the shift Lee’s weight around too much. She wasn’t heavy, but she was awkward and bulky.
Is'Kah: On the count of three, we’ll clear the hallway. Ready?
Koyama/Edrei: response
T’Ama: Ready. One… two… th-
An enormous BOOOOOOOOOM reverberated thought the ship. It was loud in an entirely different way than the firearms. Deeper and further away, but powerful enough to rattle the huge old ship and also all of your insides.
T’Ama slipped and fell sideways into the wall, clutching Lee so she didn’t fall of her shoulder, as the deck plates rattled endlessly. Everything was rattling, like an explosion mixed with an earthquake. It felt like it went on forever, though it was probably only thirty seconds.
T’Ama: What the hell was that?!?
She eased Lee down into a sitting position on the floor.
Is’Kah/Koyama/Edrei: response
As if in answer, a ceiling panel fell loose and clanked into the floor, well after the shaking had stopped.
T’Ama: We do appear to be still alive at least. And not buried in rubble. Or burned.
Is’Kah/Koyama/Edrei: response
Another noise started now, an eerie, groaning kind of wail that seemed to come from the ship itself and sent the hairs on the back of her neck standing up.
T’Ama: I’m so over this place.
Is’Kah/Koyama/Edrei: response
