Fortunately the crosswind had only jostled them. Is'Kah, however, had got blown over a click above Azura in the process, further enhancing her chances that she'd beat the hybrid to the club.
Ada: Whoa and I can feel the deceleration. That's... surreal. ::Just then the cloud cover over Tokyo opened up, revealing the city below, glistening.:: Look! Tokyo. And the patch that's extra colorful and bright? Shinjuku. Use your suit HUD to plot a path to OWL, if you want.
The hybrid quickly found the club and added it as the destination. A few seconds later, the optimal flight path appeared on zhen HUD, even though zha wasn’t through the cloud layer.
Is'Kah: Path set. How do you want to arrive? Cutting the shoots off three meters off the ground and doing the iconic Superhero landing, or are we landing like a couple of J-pop stars?
Azura laughed as she considered both options.
Ada: Well... since we're both doing a shot when we land anyway, let's arrive together. J-pop star-style. Oh, and I'll cue up something on the jukebox for us...
Azura slowed herself down as she pulled up the jukebox controls for the bar.
Is'Kah: Perfect, it will draw all eyes to us.
Ada: Girl, I think we're going to have no problem with that. I saw that fit before we suited up! I bet you could get a Tellarite to shave. A Klingon to giggle. A... well, you get the idea.
Was that too much? She made herself blush a bit, maybe gassing Is'Kah up a bit too much.
Before she could do anything about it, her 'chute opened with OWL in view, and the rooftop bar glistening. She tapped at her wrist interface to cue up the song on their arrival.
Is'Kah: 60 seconds until touchdown.
Beneath them, Shinjuku glistened. It was unerringly a beautiful metropolis unto itself, and Tokyo expanded out in every direction from it. Of all the cities Azura had been to, none had rivaled Tokyo. Fuji stood in the distance, framed in silhouette as the last rays of light peaked over the horizon. Though she was famous for her floral works, Azura always thought Georgia O'Keefe's Fuji painting was her best work in its simplicity and serenity.
Ada: Ready. Got the song ready, too. A classic.
Is'Kah: ?
Ada: So, uh... Turns out swapping dimensions has been pretty bad for my love life. Other than Risa, it's been... well, anyway. I won't disappear on you, just that I might... We're off duty, and I intend to behave that way, is all I'm saying.
Why was talking about this so hard? Regardless, the rooftop bar was coming into clear view. Mere seconds before touchdown together.
Is'Kah: ?

Azura touched down with such grace that one might think that she had skydived perhaps once or twice before.... at least she managed to stay on her feet, and posed with Is'Kah for a moment before retracting her 'chute and unzipping her suit as YMO's "Ki Mini Mune Kyun" played around them. It had worked, all eyes were indeed on them.
Is'Kah: ?
Ada: Ready for our shots?
The bartender she had coordinated the stunt with was beaming behind the bar, and before ordering, she tendered the woman the negotiated cost of the collaboration - a kiss on the cheek, and they exchanged pleasantries.
Ada: Thank you, Emiko. This was perfect. May I have a shot of tequila, and a shot of chocolate for my friend?
Emiko: You must be Is'Kah! What an arrival.
Is'Kah: ?
