Raga: oO Winds…let this stop…please….Oo

Slowly the vibrant, angry red and orange hue of the entity became more muted, neutral amber color. It also released Raga from his restraint. Toryn felt the energy field vanish as abruptly as it had been forced upon him and he collapsed to the floor, sitting on his rear.

The Al-Leyan sobbed uncontrollably as the punishment he’d been subjected to was overwhelming with emotion and he couldn't help but face his own memories. Restrained in a cell, being electrocuted while an emotionless machine tormented him.

Solat: ~ It would seem that we may have been hasty in our judgment. Regardless, if you are not puppets of the p…Romulans, what do you want? ~

Isa: We are just looking for our missing friends. Are they alright? May we see them?

Solat: ~ They are alive and well physically. We can return them to you but then you must leave this place immediately and never return! ~

Isa: If that is your wish, we will certainly do so. Though the reason we even came here in the first place was because of a special metal that we had detected in the planet.

Raga: Winds…what…was that? ::He asked, cheeks streaked with tears and clearly shaken::

Kiax: Response

Solat: ~ Apologies. That was a punishment meant for the other pointed ears. Romulans. One we devised. The memories of the hundred thousand lives destroyed by their occupation of this world. You witnessed a hundred thousand lives and a hundred thousand deaths. With all the emotion and feelings they felt. ~

The entity reached out a hand, that soft amber hue and a similar glow enveloped Toryn’s mind.

Solat: ~ I can remove the memories from your mind, in apology. ~

Toryn looked up at the entity and after a brief contemplation raised a hand to stop the entity.

Raga: No! Leave them please!

Kiax: Response

The entity seemed to be confused and the glow ceased. Though it had already removed several of the memories from his mind.

Solat: ~ Why? Why would you wish to keep the memories? The punishment was placed upon you in error. ~

Raga: ::Slowly rising to his feet again he composed himself:: You said these are memories of those who are dead?

The entity nodded sagely.

Raga: Then that means that as long as I live, they live on through me. I’d like to keep them…to honor them.

Isa: It is, of course, your decision, Commander. But I highly advise against it. Still, if you insist, then I am going to insist on mandatory counseling to help you with processing it.

Mandatory counseling sessions? Bold of her to assume Chin’tokans needed that. Paying no mind to the fact that it was easier to earn a purple heart than to keep a counselor on board.

Kiax: Response

The Al-Leyan leaned up against the bulkhead of the shuttle. The influx of memories that didn’t belong to him had made his head pound. He felt a wave of dizziness but he fought back against it.

Solat: ~ You are not Romulan. ~ ::The entity stated plainly:: ~ They are not capable of such compassion, honor, or nobility. ~

For once, Toryn was grateful Serala was not here.

Isa: I think you judge the entirety of a people by a few bad examples, friend. Not all Romulans are that way. It is true that most are, but that is because of a cultural upbringing. But I can understand why you have your views of them.

Kiax: Response

Solat: ~ I am Solat. We can return you to your friends. Though, their memories have been altered. It was a safety precaution. ~

Raga: May we contact our ship? And let our Captain know that our other team is alive and well?

Toryn wobbled slightly but held his footing.

Solat: ~ You may. ~

Kiax: Response

Toryn moved to the console beside him and hailed the Chin’toka. A moment later the image of the bridge appeared on the monitor in between the helm and secondary console. Letting Mei’konda and those on the bridge see the away team and their new guest.

Toryn looked at Isa for acquiescence for him to speak first then glanced back at the monitor.

Raga: =/\= Captain, we’ve made contact with one of the locals. =/\= ::He gestured to the amber glowing humanoid:: =/\= Captain Mei’konda. This is Solat. They’re one of the guardians of this planet protecting the actual natives of the planet. =/\=

Toryn did his best to conceal just how rough he looked but the remnants of the tears he’d shed were plain on his face and he was leaning heavily on the console.

Mei’konda: =/\= I see. Thank you for reportiing in, Commander Raga. Solat, it is good to meet you. I am Captain Mei’konda Delano of the Federation Starship Chin’toka. We’re honored to meet you. =/\=

Kiax: Response

Solat: ~ Greetings Captain. I am Solat. One of the guardians of this world, as your officer has mentioned. ~

The telepathic communication was broadcast to the Caitian and everyone on the shuttle and the bridge as a courtesy. Clearly the entity had no issues conversing with so many minds at once.

Toryn slowly eased himself into the chair beside him and at least was able to sit up straight. So many memories, thoughts, emotions all filling his mind took a lot of control to reign in.

Mei’konda: =/\= Solat, I’m sure that my officers have explaiined that we’re looking for lost members of our crew. We’re explorers. We’re out here to encounter new raaces. To learn thiings. I hope that Commander Isa’s team has giiven you a good first impression. =/\=

Isa: =/\= We have had some preliminary conversation here, sir, but it does seem that the guardians took our people. They believed we might be puppets of the Romulans and were attempting to gauge our intentions. =/\=

Kiax: =/\= Responses =/\=

Peters: =/\= Response (If Any) =/\=

Solat: ~ Indeed they have, despite my own misunderstanding. Which I regret caused some harm to your Commander Raga. ~

Levinson: =/\= If I may ask, Solat. Our readings suggest that our missing team is in close proximity to another guardian. Is that something you can confirm or deny? =/\=

Solat: ~ I can. Your colleagues are with another guardian. They are alive and physically well. ~

Mei’konda: =/\= Ah, very good. I’m reliieved to hear that. And… also, we apologize for the intrusiion, and the misunderstaanding, Solat. As we know this is your territory now, we will not interaact with it, nor you, in any reason that your people do not fiind acceptable. =/\=

Mei’konda: =/\= If you would allow us to briing our lost people back to us, we would very much appreciaate it. And since we have seen your home, I would liike to invite you to see ours. Would you and any of your peoples’ other leaders care to come aboard and see our ship? =/\=

Solat: ~ I too am sorry for any misunderstanding. In our zealousness to protect the Weylin, we have been a bit too quick to judge. I will contact the other guardians and convey your offer.  ~

Isa: =/\= Captain, I think this was just a simple case of a misunderstanding. I think it would definitely be a good idea for us to entertain Solat for a bit and let him see what we really stand for. If Solat is agreeable, we can bring him back in our shuttle. Do we have a transporter lock on the other team?

Callahan: =/\= We do, Commander. We can beam them back if the guardians are willing and the Captain gives the green light. =/\=

Mei’konda: Response

Solat: ~ Of course, or we can transport them here.  ~

Raga: =/\= Once we have them on board we can recover the other shuttle and return to the ship. =/\=

Kiax: =/\= Response =/\=

Peters: =/\= Responses (If Any) =/\=

(( short timeskip ))

Once the discussions were complete, the coordinates of the other team were fed to their computer and the team was beamed aboard. By the time they materialized Toryn was feeling a little better but so many memories in his head made him almost miss ART. Well, maybe not.

Snow: Do you know who we are?

Toryn noted how Kas was comforting Snow and raised a brow. Their memories had clearly been meddled with otherwise he doubted the man would be that affectionate towards his engaged colleague.

Kesex: :: looks at Toryn :: Lieutenant Commander Raga?

Raga: Correct. Do you remember me?

Kesex: :: pauses :: You’ll forgive me, I hope. It seems our memories were unintentionally removed. Though I recall your name, I don’t remember anything beyond that.

Isa: So we have been informed. Welcome back. I am Commander Jaelyne Isa, First Officer. This is, as he confirmed, Lieutenant Commander Raga. :: gesturing to Kiax :: and Chief Operations Officer Esa Kiax. And our guest is Solat, who is a guardian of the people below. You are, in turn, Lieutenant Commander Kasil Kesex, Mission Specialist. Doctor Elizabeth Snow, Chief Medical Officer, and Lieutenant Amuro McKnight from Security.

Raga: ::He nodded when he was introduced:: It’s good to have you all back in more or less one piece.

Kiax / Snow: Response

Aimot: ~ We must apologize, Lieutenant Commander Raga. Our guard were overzealous and caused harm. That was never our intent. I have successfully stimulated Kasil Kesex’s memory center and they will likely return almost completely. ~

Solat: ~ The others can be treated the same way, though it is quite risky. Their memories should recover naturally in time. That being said, if we assist it may spark their memories to return faster. ~

Isa: We would very much appreciate that, Solat. If they could get their memories back with your aid, it would save a lot of re-education on our parts.

Raga: Indeed. I can also imagine it would be preferable to remember sooner than later.

Kiax / Snow: Responses

McKnight: And would save some misunderstandings. Are you ok, sir?

Kesex: I’m fine. A bit of a headache, but otherwise…

Raga: I understand how you feel. ::He chuckled and rubbed at his temple::

Kiax / Snow: Responses

Jaelyne retrieved the medical tricorder and began to scan them all. She looked over at the doctor with an almost apologetic look.

Isa: Technically, this should be your job, but under the circumstances I hope you can understand.

Snow: Response

Solat: ~ When you are ready we can begin to recover your memories. Coordinating, Aimot and I can more precisely recover them than either one could alone. ~

Aimot: ~ Response ~

McKnight: Alright. Do me next. I'd rather not remain in this state of mind for the rest of my life.

Raga: Understandable, Lieutenant. Have a seat then.

Kiax / Snow: Responses

Isa: Thank you, Solat and Aimot. We do appreciate your assistance. Aimot, Solat has been invited by our Captain to visit the ship. Do you wish to come along? I am sure he would be glad to receive you as well.

Aimot: ~ Response ~

Solat: ::They briefly looked to Aimot:: ~ After the misunderstanding we’ve had, it would perhaps be best if we visit your ship and attempt to mend first impressions. ~

Raga: Perhaps we should wait to return until their memories are restored? We can pilot the shuttle back to the Kraken and one of us ::He gestured to Kiax, Isa and himself:: can pilot the other shuttle back home.

Kiax / Snow / Isa / McKnight: Responses

Aimot: ~ Response ~

Solat: ~ Just relax Lieutenant. This will take a few moments for us to stimulate the memory centers of your brain. ~

While the shuttle turned to head back to its landing point so they could grab their other support craft for a return to the ship, Toryn rubbed at his temple. He was going to need some painkillers soon if this headache persisted.

Kiax / Snow / Isa / McKnight: Responses

Aimot: ~ Response ~

Solat: ~ Focus on this memory. Starfleet Academy. This place and the training. Starfleet Marine Corps. This has meaning to you. Focus on that. ~

The entity glowed a soft amber and focused on McKnight, finding the memories that were real and bringing them to the surface. They were curious. They knew a mind that was keeping things secret. All corporeal beings seemed to do so. But it was not their place to pry. Only to heal.

Raga: =/\= Shuttle Kraken to Chin’toka. Solat and Aimot are attempting to restore the memories of the other away team. We’re returning to pick up the Banshee and then bring out guests aboard. =/\=

Mei’konda: =/\= response =/\=

Kiax / Snow / Isa / McKnight: Responses

Aimot: ~ Response ~

Solat: ~ That should suffice. Your memories should recover in a matter of hours. ~ ::They looked at Snow next:: ~ Are you ready? ~

Kiax / Snow / Isa / McKnight: Responses

Raga: We’re here. I’ll beam over to the Banshee and pilot her home.

Kiax / Snow / Isa / McKnight: Responses

Aimot: ~ Response ~

Solat: ~ Calm your mind and focus on the real memories. There is a woman. Someone loved by you deeply. Something called, fiance. Focus on her image. ~

Solat brought forth the image of the woman with strange ears, not pointed but round and large compared to the others. A word, Ferengi, matched the memory.

Kiax / Snow / Isa / McKnight: Responses

(( Shuttle Banshee ))

Toryn beamed himself over to the Banshee and quickly ran through the flight prep. Within moments the impulse engines lit up and the shuttlecraft lifted off the surface of the planet and rose into the sky to follow the Kraken back to the ship. It had been one hell of a day. Were it not for the fact that he shared everything with Ishka, he might have worried about how he would tell her of what happened.

((ooc: Feel free to expand the scenes above if you like! Just pushing us along so we can move things to the Chin’toka and have a proper First Contact! ))
