Is'Kah: Open it in 3… 2… 1… now!

The hybrid raised the rifle, ready to defend the away team from anything on the other side. Thankfully, it was empty. Slowly zha stepped out, head loose as zha kept checking both sides.

Edrei: Interrogation room's that way. ::hesitating:: 3rd door on the left? I think.

Following the Doctor’s directions, Is’Kah hoped she was right.

Is'Kah: Roger. Seems clear right now. Let’s go.

Koyama: response

Their walk was slow, mostly because the Doctor wasn’t that mobile. Thankfully, the only sound was their own footsteps.

Edrei: It's here.

Is'Kah: Can you open the door, Ensign?

Koyama: Response

The Ensign opened the door, and took Edrei inside. The hybrid just had closed the hatch and was about to ask Koyama to secure it when zha heard the doctor ask a question.

Edrei: Probably fair to say she escaped? ::pause:: We maybe should barricade that door.

Is’Kah: It is not safe. Let’s check the doors on the way out.

Koyama: Response

Stepping back out, Is’Kah ensured the hall was clear. Once the others joined the, the hybrid gestured with zhen rifle at the second door.

Is'Kah: Honestly, the first place I’d look for escapees is right next door. Let’s open that one.

Edrei/Koyama: Response

Once Koyama opened the door enough, Is’Kah snapped zhen rifle up only to pause when zha saw T’Ama.

T’Ama: Fyrshii… ::pointing the gun down:: So you did escape. How?

Turning, Is’Kah scanned the hall for enemies while responding.

Is'Kah: Once we heard the gun shot, we attacked by a group coming in for some reason. It was rougher than expected. There was a small battle where we ambushed a group. One of them might have been critically wounded.

Koyama/Edrei: response

T’Ama: So now all of you are injured?

Is'Kah: It happens when you use part of the ship as a shield. We ran out of time to plan.

Koyama/Edrei: response

There was a chirp that filled Is’Kah with hope. They had contact with the ship and the captain was coming for them.

T’Ama: =/\= T’Ama to Serala. There’s no more time. You guys need to get in here now. The brig escape was loud and three are injured. We have to move, but we aren’t moving fast. =/\=

Serala: =/\= response =/\=

T’Ama: =/\= Thanks. =/\=

T’Ama: Okay we need to get away from the populated areas of this ship. Is’Kah and Koyama, you work together on point, I’ll take up the rear and carry Lee.

Is'Kah: Roger, Commander.

Koyama/Edrei: response

After unslinging her rifle, T’Ama gave Koyama a second one.

T’Ama: Here, take the rifle. And everyone try your best not to actually shoot the guns. They are so loud and they’ll bring everyone down on us.

Is'Kah: We are familiar with their sounds.

T’Ama: ::firmly:: My point is, only fire them as a last resort.

Koyama/Edrei: response

T’Ama hefted Lee over her shoulder in a fireman's carry.

T’Ama: Sorry you don’t get the princess treatment.

Edrei: response

Koyama/Edrei: response

After checking both directions were clear, the hybrid slowly led them down the hall, while holding the gun at the ready. Thankfully, zha wasn’t dripping as much blood from zhen hands and the shoulder leak was more a dribble. It was something to worry about when they managed to escape.

Coming to a 90 degree turn, Is’Kah knelt next to the wall and checked for targets.

Is'Kah: Clear.

Koyama/Edrei: response

It wasn’t long until they came upon a T intersection.

Is'Kah: Commander, which direction?

T’Ama: Left.

Koyama/Edrei: response

Nodding, Is’Kah pointed at one part of the wall for Koyama to take a position at. The hybrid took a position opposite the Engineer.

Is'Kah: On the count of three, we’ll clear the hallway. Ready?

T’Ama: Ready. One… two… th-

As T’Ama finished the word two, Is’Kah lifted zhen head. Something loud was coming, but then it was upon the ship with an enormous boom. The deck shook, causing Is’Kah to lose zhen balance. The shaking caused pain to lance through the hybrid’s shoulder and hands.

Over the next thirty seconds, the world was only pain. It overwhelmed Is’Kah, causing the hybrid to slide down the wall after losing zhen balance. It wasn’t long before zha was on zhen hands and knees due to the sound and shaking. Green blood smeared against the floor, body tensing in preparation to reject everything in zhen stomach, which zha promptly did seconds later.

T’Ama: What the hell was that?!?

The world was returning from the red-hot pain that had lanced through zhen. Wiping zhen mouth with the back of zhen sleeve, Is’Kah leaned against the wall, panting heavily.

Is'Kah: Whatever it was…

The hybrid pressed the back of zhen's sleeve against zhen's mouth, trying to prevent anything from coming up as zhen stomach tensed as if it wanted to revolt again from zhen wounds lighting up their nerves like a holiday tree. Even though Is’Kah presented zhenself as a Vulcan in the moment, tears from the level of pain slid down dust-covered cheeks.

Koyama/Edrei: response

Suddenly, a ceiling panel fell, making Is’Kah jump.

T’Ama: We do appear to be still alive at least. And not buried in rubble. Or burned.

Is'Kah: Thank Hades for the small things.

Koyama/Edrei: response

A creepy noise started, seeming to come from everywhere, causing the hybrid’s hair to stand up.

T’Ama: I’m so over this place.

Is'Kah: Agreed.

The hybrid stood, avoiding contact with zhen sick. There was a long smear of Is’Kah’s blood against the wall from the bleeding in zhen shoulder.

Koyama/Edrei: response

Is'Kah: If there were anyone around the corner, they’d know we’re here.

The hybrid leaned out, checking both ways before stepping out. The room felt like it was wavering slightly, probably from the blood loss, which was making zhen dizzy.

T’Ama/Koyama/Edrei: response

Is'Kah: Commander, do we know where we’re going?

T’Ama/Koyama/Edrei: response

oO I don’t think my body has time to wander around, hoping we come across someone. Oo

Is'Kah: I see. Ma’am, since we have been communicating with the captain, is it possible to use the combadge as a locator beacon for them to track us down dispite the interference, or to have the badge beep when we are walking towards the other away team? I believe there is, but I'm not thinking clear enough to remember.

T’Ama/Koyama/Edrei: response
