(( State Room, Capitol City, Ah'rak IV ))
Fear wasn't a tactic that Aine wanted to use in a diplomatic situation, but things had escalated to a point where it may be her only option. Though the fear she was going to use was one that already existed within the Ah'Rakians. They'd already stated those fears openly. She had confidence that fear would keep them safe.
Sherlock: We're going to get our people out.
Madra: We'll give you access to a company.
Sherlock: You heard me. We'll do it ourselves.
S'Rorr: Really.. it's not necessary. Our people can get in and transport out more easily without a squad of Ah'rakkian security to look after.
Wright/Stapledon (if back): response
Madra: Ten squads to a company. But I take your point.
Sherlock: The time for talk is over. We must take action. ::looking to Madra:: Consider this a demonstration of the skill and training of Starfleet Officers.
Corbin/Madra: Response
Sherlock: I'm not taking no for an answer. In fact, I'm not asking anything. If need be, we ::gesturing to the team:: will leave and come back to the surface along with our other teams and take our people back by force if necessary.
Madra: Elder Corbin, please.
Corbin: Of course..
Madra seemed to take control, gently, of the Chancellor. She needed to secure them and deal with their own issues. There was an active threat, one Aine was aware could even affect her team. But not offering to help with that situation was, in a way, her show of trust to Madra...so long as they didn't leave.
Sherlock: ::to S'Rorr:: Get Kim back here. We need to stick together, we're not leaving yet.
S'Rorr: =/\= S'Rorr to Lieutenant Stapledon. Let's gather back together in the State room. =/\=
Stapledon: =/\= Stapledon here, acknowledged. =/\=
S'Rorr: You holding up?
Wright: Response
S'Rorr: I'm worried about them, too. Leave it to Captain Serala, though, she'll get them out.
Wright: Response
Sherlock: Everything will work out. S'Rorr's right. The Captain will get it done.
((small time skip))
As Aine waited for Stapledon to return to them from her meeting with Perastra, she monitored her PADD for updates from the Chin'toka. So many things seemed to be happening all at once and for different reasons. Her first instinct was to react herself. But she knew she had to trust in everyone to do their jobs and do them well. Her focus needed to be one where she was and her team.
Suddenly there was flash of light from outside that lit up the entire room, bathed it in near white light. She yelled for everyone to take cover as she dove under the heavy table. A few seconds later, the shockwave she expected hit the building, breaking out numerous windows. She could feel the heat a moment later. Being as they were still alive, she knew the blast wasn't too close, and she made her way back up to her feet to check on the others.
Sherlock: Everyone alright!?
S'Rorr/Corbin/Wright/Madra: Response
Sherlock: Full scan, I want to know where that was from, how close it was.
S'Rorr/Corbin/Wright/Madra: Response
Sherlock: General, you may want to think about getting your people to a secure area.
Madra: Response
Stapledon: Commander? I'm detecting a burst of gamma radiation.
She knew that meant they were still using primitive nuclear devices as weapons.
Perastra: What??
Sherlock: ::to S'Rorr:: If you've got hyronalin, start distributing it the Ah'Rakians.
S'Rorr/Corbin/Wright/Madra: Response
Sherlock: It's a radiation treatment. I'll get a message to our ship and we can start distributing it to the populace. It's one less thing you'll need to worry about.
Madra/Perastra/Corbin: response
S'Rorr/Wright/Stapledon: response
Sherlock: It's just another way we can help.
Madra/Perastra/Corbin: response
