(( CMO's office, Sickbay, Deck 10, USS Chin'toka ))

Edrei: The problem is, I don't think this is curable. We can help manage the acute phases and try to prevent them but there's not much else to do. She's going to have to learn how to live with that condition.

Doucet: I agree. Were you ever able to get in touch with her primary care physician from before she joined Starfleet? They would have insights we need here.

Edrei shook her head.

Edrei: No. Is their contact on here? ::she skimmed through the pages:: Oh, it is. I'll give them a call later today.

Sylvie nodded. Hopefully, that call would be a productive one. There was too much that they didn’t yet know and that made them uncomfortable. Fortunately, that knowledge gap could be closed quickly. It was just a matter of time at this point, now that they had something to work with.

Doucet: So, what do you think our course should be?

Edrei: Currently, I think the best option is what you proposed. Managing through diet, light exercise and medication as needed. Let's hope it stabilizes this way so we don't need to resort to harsher acute treatments.

Doucet: ::nodding:: Yes. Since it’s happened twice now due to injuries, I plan on looking at those incidents to see if we can make a more finely tuned acute treatment that could lessen the strain on her body. Unfortunately, her job does run a higher risk than normal for traumatic injuries.

Edrei: Alright, sounds good. Was there anything else about it?

Sylvie shook their head.

Doucet: Not that I can think of right now. Let me know if you need any more help with Seleya down the line. Is there anything you have for me while I'm here?

Edrei: Response

Doucet: Very well. I’ll get back to doing my rounds then. See you later!

Edrei: Response

Sylvie nodded again before standing up. With a final wave of their hand, they left the CMO’s office to finish out their shift. Maybe they would get a cup of hot tea first, though.
