((Deck 12, Main Computer Core Main Access, U.S.S. Chintoka))

The time was now. His superiors would accept nothing but total success. Jaban had been wearing the appearance of a Federation officer for sometime now. In fact, he wasn’t even sure how long it had been anymore. His orders were clear though. To steal the transporter modification codes that allowed the Federation to detect Changelings using them. Though now, he suspected that since the Chin’toka had a way to detect at least some Romulan ships, he might be well rewarded for stealing that as well. It would at least cast doubt as to who was really at work here, and that would for sure gain him recognition. Though the idea that this funny little program could detect the superior ships his order had now, was laughable at the least.

Whether she had allowed herself to be captured, or if she had been ordered to, Jaban was not sure of. He’d heard of her, and the genetic experiments. Jaban always felt Sheri, as she was going by in her Caraadian form, was a wild card. Unpredictable, malicious for no reason other than to satisfy her own whims. He scoffed as he began interfacing with the main computer core, inputting the small device that would allow him to steal whatever information he needed, and temporarily shut down the Chin’toka’s systems. Of course there was going to be a plethora of information stolen, mostly to cover what their true goal was.

Crewman 2nd Class Gallahad: Uh, there wasn’t any maintenance on the schedule for today lieutenant…

Unfortunate… Jaban slowly raised his head and turned around facing the soon to be dead human.

Jaban: No, there wasn’t any on the schedule, but the Captain wanted to make sure that there was nothing wrong with the detection program.

The human raised an eyebrow, apparently Jaban had said something that could have been questioned. No matter, he’d be off this ship in a matter of moments. Jaban drew his hidden disrupter and fired. He watched the shocked crewman vaporize. Either way, now if they did have access to the last thing he said, it would point Starfleet at the irrelevant detection method he was sure they were so proud of.

Time was of the essence now, as surely the dead crewman would set off an alarm within security. Jaban turned and pressed the key to confirm. He watched as the power flickered around him, and within a few seconds the information needed had been downloaded to his chip. He ejected it as the room was plunged into darkness.

Jaban: Valthra karn'ra… (Long live the…)

His words were cutoff as the green transporter light enveloped him.
