Hana did not want to be doing this.
It wasn't because she didn't like the Counseling Suite. She loved that, actually. Some of her fondest memories were the early days of the study that brought her and Teela together. Yes it was all very medical and sterile and fake-warm, but for the first time in as long as she could remember, she had felt...calm. Normal. She never had been able to find out what came from that study, but still, it remained that she liked attending counseling.
It was her telepathy that she didn't like. If it wasn't for Stoval proving it could have some value in her life she would probably be considering finding a way to get rid of it. But, she needed to do this in order to keep her job and she liked her job.
So here she was. Uncomforatble and anxious in her day clothes and her tribble in her sling.
Wright: Um...Hana here. I have an appointment
Indobri: Response
Wright: Hi...um. I assume you're the one I'm here to see.
Hana fiddled with the strap of Teela's sling.
Indobri: Yes, come in and have a seat :: gesturing to the seat opposite her :: My name is Karise. I think we can drop ranks and titles for this. It’s going to be helpful if we see each other as mentor and pupil rather than Commander and Lieutenant.
Wright: Okay. I don't like titles much anyway
Indobri: This is not going to be a quick process, Hana. I am going to teach you some basic techniques and leave you with some guidelines to help improve your control, but it’s still going to take a while to get full control of those abilities.
Hana winced.
Wright: I'm not optimistic, if you want the truth. I'm pretty sure there's something wrong with me, but sure. I'll try.
Indobri: Let us begin. The first thing I would like you to do is clear your mind of all distractions and thoughts. Think of only a white light and a white room. There is nothing else in this room.
Wright: Okie dokie.
Let it be known that Hana did try. Foir what could have been ten minutes, she really and truly did. She just...couldn't. The idea of emptying her mind didn't feel possible. She was always thinking, always wondering, always worried. Far from a whie room, Hana's mind was an eclectic curioshop filled to the brim with objects from all over the known universe with a few neon signs and blarring speakers for good measure.
It didn't help that trying to sit still took more effort than it probably should.
