Captain Oddas Aria: Unexpected Visitors in Unexpected Places

((OOC: My plan is for us to get gathered up today, do a short Awards tomorrow (Tuesday) and then we can spend a week or so doing shore leave, whatever.  ))

The Main Shuttlebay deck was really the only place large enough for anything approaching a gathering of the crew, at least until the ship was finished.  Just through the open shuttle bay door, you could catch a glimpse of the helium gas giant the resort below them orbited, the last of the precious materials mined out decades ago and now catered to those who had relaxation on the mind.

The fact this had been the last stop on their tour was either an act of brilliance or irony, she hadn't decided.  Her final handoff had been to another SFI Officer, who seemed inclined to take the final cache and run without so much as a 'thank you'.  She was left shaking her head.

She found the little table that had been set up, as requested, a little more makeshift than she had planned, but fitting with the theme of the ship and the day.  She placed a bottle of Kali-fal on the table, a bottle given to her by Teevin and an extremely good vintage used in celebrations.  

Across the room she spied, she thought, an officer she didn't recognize, which surprised her, and who was heading her way.  The woman, human, she thought wore Admiral pips -- making Aria immediately regret making the gathering duty uniforms as opposed to dress - assuming no one even brought dress uniforms.

She managed, not to snap to attention, but to stiffen and come close to it.

Oddas: Admiral, welcome aboard, I didn't realize you would be on board, as you can see we are just about to prepare for a bit of R and R.

She had to stop herself from continuing to talk, her brain wanting to move into a nervous mode in front of the woman before her.

Reynolds: Response

Oddas: You could say that Sir, it has been a long mission, a bit more eventful than we had planned.

Reynolds: Response

The room was beginning to get busier as more and more people filtered in, including Doctor Rahman and others, who Aria nodded towards.

oO There are going to be entirely too many people here. Oo. 

She snapped back to what the Admiral just said.

Oddas: What was that Sir?
