((OOC - Just a short, I'm present, type of sim))
(( Main Shuttlebay, USS Juneau, Mynok Spring Concerns ))
Genkos stood in the corner of his room, tugging at the collar of his uniform. Never before had it rubbed so on his neck, but today it was agony. He could only imagine what the skin of his neck looked like; probably red raw with irritation. The hand not occupied with trying to find him more breathing space was gently, but repeatedly tapping his cane on the floor of the room in discomfort.
He knew, deep down, that the collar thing was a purely psychosomatic thing; that at the moment the sheer weight of his pips and the responsibility they carried was irksome compared to the six thousand deaths they had inadvertently what..? Caused? Been unable to prevent? He wasn’t sure, and he really didn’t want to find out. He knew this was going to be a ceremony, a celebration of what the Juneau had achieved but in all honesty he thought it was a sham. They had nothing to celebrate; rejoicing in the deaths of six thousand people was sick, and if it weren’t for the fact that his CO, Rear Admiral Quinn Reynolds, was here, he would have stayed in his room as protest. He stayed in the corner of the room, and tried to look as unapproachable as possible.
