(( ooc: reflecting what was previously said, I didn’t push too far. ))
(( Lake, Location Unknown, Argratha ))
Lohkina: You didn't manage to grab that telescope you replicated, did you, O'Reilly? (a shrug) Could be useful to figure out what we're rowing toward.
oO That would have been helpful! We could have been pirates… Why did I just think about pirates in this moment… you must have hit your head harder than you thought… stop talking to yourself, the team needs a plan and you’re the survivalist… you’re still doing it, stop it. Focus… I’m hungry, when was the last time I ate? I hope this raft has food ::looking immediately around himself:: the supplies we brought, they must have… STOP IT. Oo
O’Reilly: It’s certainly a long distance, I’m just not sure sitting in one spot is helpful either. ::beat::
Lohkina: Well, then, getting to cover seems like a good plan. (brandishing an oar) How do you each feel about paddling?
Then it occurred to him. Most of them were injured and it was unlikely he’d contribute much to rowing — so what if they took another approach, one that might increase their chance of survival.
O’Reilly: Not great. ::beat:: What if we find a way to camouflage ourselves? It’s getting late, sunset shouldn’t be too long, we could reduce our visibility ::beat:: sure, it would decrease our likelihood of rescue, but it would also increase our chances if whoever attacked us returns. ::looking around briefly, seeing a survival kit marked “Shelter”:: Those ::pointing:: I think they’re grey in color, that should help to mask us from anyone looking for us, at least for the night.
Sh'shelor: Responses
O’Reilly: I agree, we can still row towards the closest shoreline, but we can do it at a slower speed, one that won’t make our injuries worse.
Lohkina/Sh'shelor: Responses
Opening a nearby “Shelter” box, Thomas’s left arm, unknowingly joined the scene, assisting him with opening, albeit in a diminished capacity. oO The nanites must be working overtime! Oo
O’Reilly: Well, that’s certainly good news. ::looking down at his arm.:: If you wouldn’t mind ::looking at Lohkina:: helping me get this up ::holding up a canvas from the shelter box:: once it’s up we can start the journey. ::beginning to unfold the canvas:: These are meant to retain heat as well, should help reduce any signature we give off.
Again he was considering the impact their camoflauge would have on their potential rescue.
