Nilsen: It means a lot to me Ro, it really does. I’ll be the most kick-ass Assistant chief ever, just you watch.  Besides, someone's gotta remind this fella to take a break and keep him out of trouble ::nudging and smiling to Toxin::

oO Henri: Wow, he’s buttering you both up this time, is he trying to smooth you over a bit? Oo

Toxin ignored the remark, but he did wonder why Nilsen was so excited. Nilsen had been the Assistant Chief of Ops for a while, and now his title was official. However, Toxin didn't see the need for much fanfare, especially with Henri seeding doubts in his mind.

Arlill: ::ignoring Nilsen’s attempt at humour:: Thank you for joining us captain.

Rouiancet: I just told Aine this was well, but -- Lhandon, this ribbon isn't a cause for celebration, but is rather a recognition for you, and everyone who might see your service record or ribbon cluster, of just what you've been through, and something of the tenacity you possess.

The awarding of the POW ribbon did bring a little guilt to Toxin. His previous room mate, right hand guy, and previous best friend had gone through an ordeal on that last mission and he wasn’t exactly supporting the big lug, but this sorrow for Landon didn’t last long…

oO Henri: They’re giving ribbons out for everything these days. Oo

Toxin knew this was a remark just to rile him up, especially since Henri was fairly young, from a existence perspective.

Nilsen: Thank you sir. That recognition does erm….::stuck for words:: it helps.

Arlill: Well earned Lieutenant.

Rouiancet: It means a lot to me, as such a new CO, to know that I can count entirely on the officers under my command. Toxin, when I assigned you to lead the marine team to Cheyd'lang, I knew that you could do it -- but you exceeded my expectations, and showed me and your team just what to expect from you in the future. This is the Leadership Excellence Ribbon, and you've earned it, and then some.

Arlill: Thank you sir.

Nilsen: Congrats Tox. You really do deserve that.

Rouiancet got up and left the two of them and Lhandon Nudged him.

Nilsen: That suits you, Mr. Excellences in leadership of the almighty operations order.

Arlill: That’ll do Lhandon, but thank you.

Nilsen: Hey look, we gotta do something this week, before the next mission. Can’t be all work and no play right?

Arlill: You know all too well that we’ve got a lot of work ahead of us, let’s focus on that.

oO Henri: You tell him, I bet he’s got a plan to show you slacking off. Why else would he want you to take it easy. Oo

Toxin was beginning to believe Henri was onto something, was Lhandon working his way to replacing Toxin, was that his end game?

Nilsen: We gotta say hi to our new HCO as well. I think you’ll like him He ain’t here yet but I half suspect he’ll be going for our shuttle speed records.

Arlill: How so?

Nilsen: Response

Arlill: I mean, do you know this officer? Do you know something I don’t know with regards to his following the rules?

oO Henri: That was harsh even for me… Oo

Nilsen: Response

Toxin: Maybe, I might be up to a quick coffee, but let’s keep it to the Ops mess.

Toxin realized he was getting a bit aggressive and grabbed a bread roll from the basket, buttered it, and sat back in his chair observing the crowd. His mother did always say, “if you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all”.
