It had only been a few minutes since beaming down to the planet, and they already had trouble thinking about themselves as either Loq or Yinn. They were both at once. A lifetime of conflicting memories, not to mention two sets of eyes, two sets of arms, two mouths — overwhelming didn't begin to describe the experience. It was hard to even articulate what was happening to them.

Loq: Fer'at... I think...

Yinn: ...I'm both Qurgh'Loq and Yinn.

Fer'at: response.

Brzezinski: I’m sorry, say that again?

Loq: Rivka! You can help me. Help me understand this.

They realized that from Lt. Brzezinski's perspective, a Klingon she had never met was making a personal appeal to her. They tried to focus on using Yinn's mouth to speak.

Yinn: I don't know how to explain... but... I can remember growing up on Bolarus and growing up on Hitorah.

They switched over to Loq's voice. She needed to understand that the Klingon she was talking to was the same person she had worked with in the lab.

Loq: I worked with you in the science lab on the Brzenski phantoms and why they reacted to chronitons. Remember what an ordeal it was moving those chronitons over from the Moo?

"Phantoms" was what the called the lifeforms on Alpha Brzenski. It was very unscientific, but it was something Rivka would recognize as coming from Yinn.

Brzezinski: response

Yinn: I don't know, but I'm starting to work out a theory. Fer'at, are Vulcans ever able to mind-meld without physical contact? Has anyone ever gotten stuck in a mind-meld long-term? That's what this feels like.

Fer'at: response

Brzezinski: What?

Fer'at: response

Rivka waved her scanner at and between the two beings.

Brzezinski: Hmph. Elevated Beta-waves. (beat) I think we need to get you to the labs for more analysis!

Yinn: Agreed. But do not beam us up. Whatever happened could be undone, or made worse. I'd like the chance to study the effects first.

Fer'at/Brzezinski: responses

Was this just the effect of the transporters? They turned everything over in their minds (and found having two made thinking a much faster process. They had been working to isolate the chemical that made Antari telepathy possible, and then that idiot ate all the leaves... we ate all the leaves, we're the idiot. Whatever latent telepathic abilities the leaves unlocked, the transporter seems to have activated. Would they simply wear off? Would transporting again break the connection? Being separated into two minds again already seemed like a mildly terrifying prospect. Klingons were supposed to be brave, but this wasn't the kind of thing a warrior's training prepared you for.

Fer'at/Brzezinski: responses

(ooc: Yinn/Loq have a theory, but maybe we jump ahead to the shuttlecraft and expound there? I wanted to let the rest of the party get their responses in before I went that far ahead)
