Una had lost herself for a moment fantasizing about a universe made of Nilsen while she watched and controlled all the parameters of teleportation and of phase and counter-phase. What harmony!

Una: Yes security and force fields would be a good precaution indeed!

Yinn: I suggest we set up one in sickbay as a further test, and if successful, we enclose a larger area in one of the cargo bays. And we should be ready to reconfigure the field on a moment's notice if we end up beaming back anything hostile.

Toz: I’ll round up a group of nurses to be ready. Head Nurse Miash is busy somewhere. (beat) I haven’t had time to check on things. But we can call in all off-duty medical.

Rouiancet: (nodding again) Good ideas. I'll contact Lieutenant Richards and see what security personnel he recommends.

Una: that's great! Everything is ready! At your mark Cap!

Yinn: =^=Yinn to Kovacs. I'm in sickbay with the captain. She and her away team are back into phase, and our test was successful. We beamed someone over who seems to be one of the Dow's crew. We're going to set up a containment field here in sickbay and try beaming a few signals at once. Let us know when you're ready on your end. =^=

Una blushed slightly, her thoughts turning to Kovacs. She liked him, but knew Kovacs belonged to Nilsen. It seemed Nilsen and his large family, had all the luck. oO So unfair! Oo

Kovacs: =^=  Engineering standing by.  =^=

Yinn: Just give the word, captain.

Toz: NA Wing, you’ll stay here with me and assist. Commander, let’s say that Wilma is the being in the corner, well, ceiling. When everyone returns to phase, she should disappear.

Una was still typing and checking all the parameters.

Barney: Go! You’ve got to stop! I can’t take any more!

Una glanced at Barney collapsing.

NA Wing: Doctor, our patient has lapsed into a coma. May I suggest glucose? It seems to be a result of trauma.

Toz: Good thinking. Do it. (beat) When we can, we need to bring Lt. Nilsen in. See if he knows this fellow.

Una noticed the Captain's looks. Perhaps he was noticing that her knowledge was a bit too extensive.

Cettola, her father, had constantly warned her against the spotlight. He'd always urged her to remain discreet and avoid unnecessary attention.
Her mind wandered, as it was wont to do.

Una: Glucose to treat a coma? That's a bit much, don't you think? oO Maybe a lollipop would be more appropriate? Oo
Never mind... Ready when you're ready, I mean to fix Mr. Barney.

Yinn:  Responses

Rouiancet: (another nod) One moment, and we should be good to go. =^= Rouiancet to bridge. =^=

Rouiancet: =^= We're going to attempt to beam the Dow crew back into phase, but it seems we may beam back more than only the Dow crew. If that's true, then I'd like to have security and marine personnel on hand. Would you please oversee their assignment to the cargo bays and Sickbay? =^=

Everyone seemed ready. The Captain nodded again to Yinn.

Rouiancet: We'll proceed. Yinn, if you'd give Kovacs the signal, please?

Una nodded.
Una: All the parameters are as expected.

Yinn / Toz: Responses

Kovacs: =^= All green on my end. You're good to proceed. =^=

Una glanced at everybody else, then she just said.
Una: Ok!

Yinn / Toz: Responses

Una: The phasing-back process, the transporters, everything seems to be functioning flawlessly. No explosion this time! Incredible.
Una looked at the energy waves, noticing a slight difference from usual, but everything seemed stable. Perhaps this was the day she would finally succeed in something real, without any disasters!
At last, someone or something appeared. Una clung to the Captain and everyone else in the room, both relieved and a bit frightened, when someone screamed loudly.

Kovacs: =^= (panicked) What happened?! =^=

Una was continuously analyzing the data, just in case she had made a mistake.

Rouiancet: =^= (grimly) One of the two crew we transported didn't make it through the process. It appears that they were alive when the cycle began. =^=

Una looked back at the Captain.

Rouiancet: Ideas? I would prefer not to repeat that.

Una: The signal was not sufficiently stable... I apologize.
We need better signal amplification maybe...
She looked back at Yinn and Toz as if they might have a better answer.

Yinn/Toz: Responses

Una: At least I identified the problem: a sudden high-pitched phase oscillation. What do you think we can do to prevent it?
