((The town center, New Faren, New Bajor))
Amid the commotion, they idly wondered if anyone had ever experienced what they were going through. They could remember being Yinn, wanting to discover new life unlike anything anyone on Bolarus had encountered. But they could also remember being Qurgh'Loq, appreciating the stability and order of the familiar. Now that they were both at once, they weren't sure how they felt. But they were at least clear on one topic.
Fer'at: It seems that if your minds are used to being single, the entanglement would pose a bigger problem than the separation.
Brzezinski: (resigned) All the more reason to act quickly.
Loq: We don't know what problems separation poses. When two nets are entangled, using brute force to pull them apart just tears them both. I don't want to end up with two damaged brains for the sake of making haste.
They realized they had to start putting thought into which mouth to speak from. The others were more used to dealing with Yinn, they should probably use their Bolian half to make a scientific case.
Fer’at: I do believe that is our shuttle now.
The shuttle began a landing process in an open area just beyond the festival.
Brzezinski: Ready to go?
Yinn: ::sitting up:: Give me a minute. I'm still getting the hang of which limbs are which.
Fer’at: Lieutenant Brzezinski, if you can assist Ensign Yinn, I will assist Ensign Loq. The shuttle can not land right here, but we will need to meet them just outside the town.
Rivka nodded and moved to scoop up under the frail-looking blue scientist as the Vulcan assisted the bulky Klingon.
Brzezinski: Up you go. That’s it, one foot in front of the other.
Loq: It's funny, I can still tell left and right, but I keep mixing up which left leg is which.
They did manage to put a Yinn arm around the human and a Loq arm around the Vulcan and tried to focus on moving both pairs of legs. Walking both bodies in unison seemed to be the easiest method.
Brzezinski: Anything we can do to make a hole in this crowd?
Loq: CLEAR A PATH. INJURED PERSONNEL. CLEAR A PATH TO THE SHUTTLE.
The crowd quickly parted at the sound of a bellowing Klingon. They got a thrill at how loud their voice could get, although that was they voice they had always had. It was less Yinn and Loq remembering separately as them remembering both at once. They both did and didn't used to have a deep, booming voice. It was a lot to process.
Fer'at: responses
Brzezinski: Thank you, that should do!
They made their way through the remnants of the various festival-goers and into the open field. They found that they could focus both sets of eyes on the shuttle and it looked fairly clear, although the edges of their field of vision were still disjointed. Was trying to focus less headache-inducing than trying to process two images at once? More study was needed.
Fer'at: response
Brzezinski: (reading the side of the shuttle) Imago. Huh. Looks fast, at least.
Loq: I'll drive!
Even with double vision they could see the human's shocked expression and the Vulcan's annoyed one.
Yinn: Kidding! I'm kidding.
Brzezinski/Fer'at: responses
Their colleagues helped lower them into the two rear seats in the shuttle. Even just sitting still was a little overwhelming, processing double vision, sounds seeming to come from two parts of the shuttle at once, even the way their two bodies felt different against the shape of the chair. Yet they found they were able to take all of this in while also conversing with Fer'at and Rivka. Having two brains did seem to make multitasking easier.
Yinn: Okay. Let me stress again, that before we talk about separation, let's try and understand what's happening, and work out a method of separation that doesn't kill me. Having your brain quantum disentangled is not a death that gets you welcomed to Suto'vo'kor.
Brzezinski/Fer'at: responses
Yinn: We understand quantum entanglement to be a natural state, and a permanent one. It's not something that generally gets turned on and off. I think we must try and understand how it got turned on before we can understand how to turn it off.
Brzezinski/Fer'at: responses
(ooc: I thought it made sense to have some conversation in the shuttle, but feel free to jump ahead to the ship at any point)
